I was reborn as an orphan, But I won't let that stop me

Once Annette returned there were still 3 hours left until Walsh would take up so she decided to report her findings to the grand duke. "So you finally decided to call after being silent for so long," Zack says. "Do you think I would call for fun?"                                                                                  "Why not, Cassi worries for you every day. She is always asking me if you have contacted me yet." Zack says. "My lord, I did not call for idle chatter." 

"You are no fun, so what's the report?"

"I have collected enough evidence and know what they are planning."

"Alright let's hear it."

"They created this drug to spread fear and chaos among the common people. This is for two reasons, one is that they wanted the royal family to be blamed for their incompetence in letting this situation go so far. The second reason is that while the royal family has no idea how to solve the problem the duke would sweep in and become their saving grace, this would plant a seed in both the commoners and nobility that the royal family is incompetent at their job. But the truth is that they would not really cure them but only removed some of the symptoms temporarily. That is when the second wave would hit and then they would manipulate people in the dark to start an all-out riot. And with the people, they have druged that are now their mindless puppets they would dethrone the king and he would take the seat. That is when they would give the people the real cure after some time so that not to arouse suspicion. Well except for those people who would be useful to him. Well, that is the simple version of their plan anyway, and I also found evidence of some of his collaborators, and other crimes such as embezzlement, and bribery and he is also selling some orphans to the neighboring country as slaves." Annette answers.

"Hahaha, that man is a fool even with a whole army behind his back he can't overthrow my brother. Not only does he have capable sons at his side but all his closest subjects are like mad men who treat him like a god. Well, that and the two grand dukes at his side." Zack says mirth.     "It is still better to end it before it even takes place," Annette says in monotony. " Yes, of course, we'll get back home and give me all the physical evidence since you are done there." 

"No."

"Why not?"

"You promised me that this would be fun so in 13 days from now there is a bastard I want to toy with, and maybe also some guards and servants on the way. And while I am at it I can capture the duke, duchess, and their children for you. Though I can not promise that they would be unscathed."  Annette says with the same monotone voice. " Who is the unlucky one?" Zack asks very seriously as he thinks that something bad will happen from this. "Walsh Salone." Annette answers. "... Please let go of the idea." Zack asks. " But he is also an accomplice," Annette says. " That is exactly why we need him alive for trial," Zack says. "With your power, you can handle it," Annette says seriously. " Do you take me for someone who would abuse my power to torture, my enemies?" 

"My lord, that is your hobby although a little less bloody, only a little. Cant, you help your beloved daughter's servant out?"

"Why in 13 days?"

"That is when his great celebration will turn into in nightmare." 

"What celebration?"

"The celebration of his pet slave finally finishes her training and gets his new special collar. His lucky number will turn into a curse." 

"Dont tell me that he thinks that you are his personal toy be can do what he wants to?"

"Wel, that is the undercover persona I took over."

" Did he go too far?" 

"He is not capable to but since I did not what to be discovered I just used an illusion spell."

"So he did try." 

"As someone who has got one of his slaves pregnant do you think that he won't do it to the others?"

"Ahahah, you know since he dared to even think of touching my people I give you permission to handle it. I will inform the other two and meet you at the residence. We will arrest them without getting my brother's consent first. He will at worst only have me undergo a small punishment." 

" I am glad you agree, but I am sure even that won't happen with your sly personality." 

"You know me so well." 

"Yes, but I got to go now Walsh will wake up in little more than 2 hours, I need to sleep."

"Alright, see you soon," Zack says and breaks off the connection. That is when Annette makes herself look messy after a night of passion then she lies down beside him and soon she is asleep.
