I was reborn as an orphan, But I won't let that stop me

Now that the tournament is done, all that's left is the victory parade, where every participant parades through the city. Originally Annette did not plan to attend since she planned to return just after the tournament. The parade is not today but tomorrow but she is now planning to stay about 3 months more because she will be studying under her new master she has decided to attend the parade. But first, she needs to find a new place to live as she has only paid for the hotel until today. She looks around and asks every inn and hotel to see if there is a room available but after 3 hours she has not managed to find anything. So she decided to ask her master for accommodation but on the way she met not only Clyde but also Loyd. Annette found it odd that they were together since they never interacted much during the part she played in the game and it does not seem like they have anything in common to make them friends. Not to mention that it seems strange that Loyd is even here since he did not participate in the tournament. Just as she thought about this Clyde sees her and walks towards her.

"I did not expect to see you here, what are you doing?" Clyde asks while Loyd looks at them in surprise as he has never seen Clyde being the one starting a conversation unless it is something important. " Oh, i am just looking for somewhere to stay for 3 months as i will be learning some black-smithing." Annette answers. " Let me guess, no luck?" He asks. " Yes." She admits plainly. "Oh, then..." He starts as he scratches his neck, looking a little hesitant and embaressed. " What is it?" She asks. "Well, i own a tiny villa here. You can live there as a guest." He says and it makes both her and Loyd surprised hearing it but it doesn't show on Annette's face. " Are you sure and will i be living there alone or with you?" She asks.

"I was planning to live there for about a month before i return home with Loyd. You can refuse if you are uncomfortable. After all we are both unrelated men after all. Is not really proper." He says. " Then why do you offer it, it is not like you?" Loyd asks. " It is better then being homeless, besides i dont believe that a lady of her caliber really cares about this stuff." Clyde responds. " Then you would be right, besides you have some credibility so i trust that i wont be in any danger. So i accept." Annette says. " Really, are you sure?" Loyd says with a raised eyebrow. " I am i dont really care about rumors and if dangerous really happens then i am strong enough to escape." She answers. " Are you trying to defame me Loyd?" Clyde says coldly. " What, no. It is just a normal concern." Loyd answers. " We might not know each other well, but it gives a bad taste in my mouth that you would ask her." Clyde says. " Seriously it is not like i asked her outright. I just wanted confirm that she made the right choice." Loyd says. " Well i am very sure, so will we go to the villa now or do you have something else going on first?" Annette asks.

"I have been ordered to protect Loyd while he works on something, and right now we are out to get some of the materials needed." Clyde says. " Really, why you and it is just you alone?" Annette asks Clyde. " No there are some secret guards fallowing us and it was an order from my father so i dont know why it has to be me. He wont ever really tell me anything even if i where to ask." He answers. " Is it wise to tell her all this, is she not a servant of the Evernight? Your fathers sworn rival." Loyd asks. "It is just one sided on my fathers part the grand duke just like to humor my father. He wont really hurt my father." Clyde says. " No he would, just not in this kind of way." Annette says. "What way?" Loyd asks. " He likes to break other peoples spirit, just so he can get a good laugh out of it. But it dont evolve sabotage, that is reserved for those he hate."  Annette answers. " I should not have asked." Loyd says. "So shall i wait for you somewhere or shall i go with you?" Annette asks. " You can wait outside the shop, we have only one item left." Clyde says. " Alright." Annette says as she knows that he probably not want or cant show her what they are buying. It is simply protocol so she dont fell offended at all, in fact him telling her the situation is more then she would have ever done if it was her. It seems that Clyde likes her at least a little. 

So the 3 of them went to the shop and she waited outside for about 25 minuets, she did not see them take anything out nor did she see anything on them when they meet so the most be using a storage ring or another type of magic item with storage space. Now that they are done the 3 of them walk towards the villa where they will be staying, and on the way Annette had some small talk with Clyde on the way with Loyd commenting from time to time. While they talked Annette started to like and appreciate Clyde a little more since they have a lot of things in common interested wise. While the things Loyd said was also a little insightful but since he was not so familiar with the topics they spoke about the impact was not big. After all it is very normal to like someone with the same interests as you. Just like her and Clyde, while Loyd is more like an outsider that just picks up a few important points but dont see the whole painting. 

45 minutes later the have finely arrived at the villa.
