I was reborn as an orphan, But I won't let that stop me

3 days later they finally arrive and the first thing they do is to buy a room at an inn that is the closest to the black market called the white raven. While they are there they secretly listen to the rumors that go around. Most of them are irrelevant to what they are looking for but they did catch on 3 rumors that caught their interest. The first one is that the black market is holding an important auction in 3 days and the rumor is that they are auctioning off a bottle of phoenix tears. A treasure that is capable to bring a man back to life with just one drop. The next thing is that if you go into a specific part of the black market district and say some kind of password, you can buy green sin for cheaper. As all the other people who sell that stuff never stay at the same place twice. So you are lucky if you can get a hand of some. They decided that although they can not locate the place on the second lead for now. They can actually visit the auction as the news of them selling phoenix tears is highly suspicious. It is to be said that phoenixes are a creature that is very rare and is protected by law. They are so rare that one would be lucky to see one even if they lived 5 lifetimes. But it just so happens that the head of the Svensen family owns a phoenix. So those who are being suspected of selling drugs and dabbling with the black market make this highly suspicious.

So they decide that before they find a way to infiltrate the 2 duke families they shall first visit the auction in 2 days. So in the meantime, they need to find out where exactly it is held and how to get in. So they asked around without appearing suspicious. Loyd also made use of his magic to find what they were looking for. They finally got the location on the day before the auction. They were even able to discover that you needed a special ticket to get in. Unfortunately, they can't get one because only regular customers are able to get one but they did find someone who has 2 tickets. All that's left is to steal them. A job that Annette offered to do as she was too bored and needed something to do. Course the other 2, in the beginning, did not agree to it at first. Loyd thought it was too risky and would rather do it himself as he did not know what she was capable of. Alzid on the other hand wanted to go with her. Most likely because he wanted to see her in action. But Annette said that if Loyd did it with his magic they could easily trace his magic signature as it is well known among all magic users. After all, he is predicted to become the next archmage that has not appeared since 450 years ago. So any professional mage will recognize it.  And while she did not tell them but during her training, she discovered what her god's gift talent is. She named it the signature eraser. As it makes her be able to use magic without leaving a magic signature behind. So no one will know that she uses magic anywhere. Though space, air, and black magic do not leave any traces and as such are where liked by assassins and thieves. Her excuse for Alzid was that she is more comfortable with this tiny task alone as 2 people going would be too much. After all, it would be like a gang beating up a child. Of course, Alzid did try to manipulate her into doing it together but obviously, it did not work.

So that night she sneaked out from the inn and like a ninja vent towards the inn where she will find the tickets. She finds the right room and quietly breaks in with her black magic. As she turns into a shadow and enters the gap of the door to enter the inn. Then she moves around the inn in her shadow form until she finally enters the room where the tickets are. The man and woman who owns the tickets are asleep but just in case she uses air magic to isolate all the sounds so that they will not wake up. Then she turns back into her human form. Then she uses air magic again to help her search for the tickets and after a while, she finds them and uses her space magic to store them. She opens the window and jumps up towards the roof and closes the window after her. She then walks towards the inn she lives in. She shows them the tickets and before they go to bed they decided that Loyd and Annette will go to the auction because they only have 2 tickets.
