I feel like the weight on my waist loosen up and I realize my rope around my waist is untied. Oh f*ck!

Next thing I know I feel myself go sliding backwards and out the window! Oh shit!

"Eddie" I hear Buck yell as they realize I'm going out the window.

Luckily I was able to grab my rope that followed me out the window. Hanging onto that for dear life! Hopefully the boys know I'm out here and hanging on for dear life!

"Is she?" I hear Buck ask Eddie

"I don't see her" I hear Eddie say. Their voices sound slightly quieter than normal which means if I were to yell they probably will not hear me. I grab my radio and I knows it's going to be a big regret in my life since my dad will be able to hear it.

"Buckley, Diaz. Pull my rope THE HELL UP" I say and I hear them softly gasp from the floor

"Hey, what's going on up there" I hear my dad hop on the radio

"Oh just your daughter hanging out of the f*cking window holding onto dear life to the rope that used to be around her waist" I say into my radio. And then start feeling like someone's pulling on the rope.

"What!!! Pull her up now Buckley and Diaz" my dad says serious.

"We are cap" Eddie says but you can hear that is really concerned. I finally get pulled to where my feet can touch the floor. I feel Diaz tie another rope around my waist. But I feel something else, a spark runs through me like it did back in high school and I know he feels it to by the look on his face trying to hid it.

Back in high school, ever time we kissed there was a spark. A spark that my grandmother told me about when she was with my grandfather. My grandmother said it was the spark of true love and who you meant to be with! Like soulmates but I guess it was all a lie!

We all make are way out of the room and back to the stairwell to go back to the ladder. We learned the girls name is Ali, she seems nice. I think Buck likes her but that Buck for you, he likes any girl we meet.

"Let's keep moving" Eddie says know we have to get out of the build soon before another aftershock hits. Eddie first leading the way, then Ali, then Buck and I'm last. Going down was more harder than going up they also there's a little more debris than before.

"Do you think I'll still be on the sidewalk when we get down there" Ali asks

"No" I say, knowing that he will not be there when we get down.

"And we're not going out that side anyway" Buck says

"Let's hustle up, we don't wanna be here for the next after shock" Eddie says

"Wait, what do you mean in the next aftershock?" she asks confused, there's always multiple aftershocks. We keep making our way down. We make our way down until Eddie stops and realizes our path is blocked by concrete

"you gotta be kidding me, we're not getting out this way" Eddie says and shines his light above

"Now what" Ali asks, you can hear that she's slightly scared

"We go back up" I say shining my light back up the stairs

"Back up" Ali says confused but also scared

"Ladder 118, respond! This is Captain Nash, need a headcount" My father says over the radio. We all look at each other to see who will respond and Eddie chooses to respond for us

"Ladder 118 responding, Diaz, Buckley, Nash, we're all good cap" Eddie says and we wait for everyone else to respond. Everyone else responds except one person and this one hurts.
