I wish she talked to me! It's the day after Christmas. I am about to head into my shift and I just got a call from the chief this morning saying that Alyssa is no longer a member of the 118. The chief didn't tell me if she quit completely or she transferred.

I went to her house this morning, I knew something was up the moment I walked in! I found a lot of her stuff gone, and a note on the counter for me

Dad, if you're reading this, it means that you came to talk to me. Yes I left the 118. I just need a break from everything and also to stay away from Eddie. I'm fine and safe, I'm staying in an apartment for a while just to get away from everything! I love you so much and I'll be back in a year or two! I don't know it, it depends how I feel! Love Alyssa

I don't even know what apartment she's in or if she's even still in LA. My biggest concern is how they gonna break this to the 118. we shall see as I am heading up the stairs to meet them all. Everyone is either downstairs or upstairs waiting for breakfast at the start of shift!

"Everyone table now" I say as I head upstairs and the gather

"What's up cap, why is there no breakfast" Chim asks, usually they would be breakfast on the table right now, but I was late today since I stopped at her house

"As of 8am this morning Alyssa Nash is no longer a member of the 118" I say and I see everyone face look shocked and sad

"Did she transferred to her new house or did she quit completely?" hen ask

"That I do not know, the chief will not tell me that. I went to her house this morning to find out that she left and is living in an apartment for a while. I don't know where because she never said where. I knew something was up the moment I walked into the house and every was gone but furniture" I say sad

"Why would she leave?" Buck says

"there's one thing that she needed to follow up with their custody hearing. And that was she cannot be in contact with her ex." I say and they looks confused

"Why? Her ex is not even here. She told me he's somewhere back in texts" Buck ask and I nod no

"Say hello to Alyssa Ex, firefighter Diaz. The one who currently has full custody of Christopher with his wife" I say and they look shocked

"So your the reason Alyssa left? You're the one who hurt her now and in the past" Hen says looking at Eddie and he nods. I can talk by his face that he's regretting everything and doesn't want to deal with this!

Eddie Pov (hehe)

I probably deserve that!

"So you hurt Alyssa back in high school by leaving her for another woman" Buck says and I nod

"Wow, Why would you do that to her?" hen says

"I don't know, I really don't. I was stupid back then, and I regret my decision every day." I say and they know their heads no

"I don't know is a lame excuse!" Hen says angry and the team agrees with Hen. Hen and Alyssa are like sisters! I found out they were always there for each other. 

"Why did you choose Shannon over Alyssa back then?" Chim asks

"I don't know again, maybe because Shannon was spending too much time with me that I started getting feelings for her. She was around me more than Alyssa was." I say

"Did you ever think of the reason why Alyssa wasn't around you as much?" Her dad asks and I nod no even though I kinda know!

"Because you started blowing her off to hang out with Shannon. She told me about the dates you canceled and she found out you were with Shannon later on. Whenever you would hang out with her, Shannon would always be there. Your problem was you were picking Shannon over Alyssa. And acting like Alyssa was nothing" her dad says everything he said was true. I was putting Shannon before Alyssa and I should've never done that!

Anyone can say anything else the bell rings, which means it's time to go!

Something tells me I'm gonna regret working here!
