"Come down bud" I say as we start sending him down
"Look at that yay" I hear chim yell excuse. We all start cheering for my son as he goes down the pole I see a smile on his face the whole time.
"Whoa" my son says excited
"Good job" Chim and hen says from above
"You nailed it Chris" I say excited and give him a kiss on the cheek. we all cheer and congratulate him for doing it until I look up and I see Abigail is here!
"All right funs over" I say sadly as I see her, but my son sadly can't stay with us forever because we have a job to do
"Awww" Buck and Eddie says
"Bye Christopher" Chim and Hen says at the same time
Everyone says their goodbyes as I walk my son over to Abigail
"Good job kiddo" my dad says
"You too Grandpa Nash" my says says giggling
"Hey mr cutie, you ready for some fun" Abigail says to my son as I give him to her. I had his crutches so him can walk better. I decided to walk with them out to her car to make sure they're ok.
Before I do that, I walk over to my dad and I gave him the biggest hug ever to say thank you
"Thank you dad" I say as I back away from the hug and go to walk with them
"Anytime" he says
After they leave, I go to finish the shift! I end up calling out the next day to spend it with my son since I couldn't find anyone to watch him. Abigail is going to families today and Mia is never gonna watch him again so it's just me and my son today I don't wanna bring him to the station again Because he would be there the whole time and sometimes we get calls that are not made for him to see
We spend the day doing some fun stuff, watch, movies, bake cookies, I take him to the pier for a little while. He loves going to the beach and we usually go once a month. after that, we end up going out to dinner at my sons, favorite restaurant Applebee's! He loves Applebee's! His favorite food is there chicken tenders, and fries. We only go here once a month! And usually let him pick when he wants to go and he'll usually pick on a day that I don't have work!
My dad ends up giving me the next day off. I get a text from Buck to meet him at his apartment, well his ex-girlfriend's apartment who he thinks he's still with, but you can tell that Abby left him for good.
Thankfully, Abigail was around for a while. I just have to be back by three to pick them up because she's meeting up with some friends later today but she never mind watching my son.
I drive to bucks apartment and knock on the door. He answers really quickly I had inside and ask him why he invited me over. Because normally he never invited me over usually other people are here with us but there's no one else but us?
"So what's up and why do you invite me over?" I ask
"Well there's someone I want you to meet and I feel like she's gonna help you out a lot. She's exactly what you need!" he says and I look at him confused. All of a sudden there's a knock knock at the door and I look at Buck.
"She's here!" He says and goes to the door to answer the person
"Buckaroo" I hear a woman say
"Carla" I hear Buck says. so I'm meeting Carla, who took care of Abigail's mom who had Alzheimer's. I heard about Carla, but I never actually met her.
"I missed your face" Carla says to Buck
"Oh I miss you too. Come on in" Buck says and I make my presence known and I walk into the kitchen where they are
"Uh Alyssa, this is my friend Carla" He says
"It's nice to meet you, Alyssa" she says and we shake hands
"Likewise" I say with a smile
"Carla is LA's finest home healthcare aid. She has years of experience navigating giant bureaucracies. And I thought she could help you out on how to get Christopher what he needs" he says
"I'm red tapes for nightmare" she says, I always looked and having someone to help Christopher but it's always so much paperwork to fill out and questions asked that I can't answer because I don't have Christopher's father in the picture
"I'll get you through it in no time. Go sit down and see what you're working with" she says and we sit down and talk about my son and she gives me a lot of ideas and ways that she thinks could benefit him so much. I told her that my struggle is finding someone to watch Christopher and take care of him for me because I always struggle finding someone who could watch Christopher and figure out how to take care of him properly at the same time. and she says that she is just what I'm looking for. She starts tomorrow, I asked my dad for the day off tomorrow so I can help Carla settle in and get to know my son before I actually leave both of them alone. I end up thinking Buck so much for this!
