He turned silently and left after that.

I sighed and looked over to Nancy.

"You should leave," she told me as the lights began to flicker again and I just grabbed her and dragged her over to Jonathan where we all stood back-to-back.

"Not in a million years," I forced on a nervous grin as I swung my knife around a bit, "hoo boy~ this is... crazy."

"Yeah," she nodded, and I sighed, "where is it?"

"Come on," Jonathan muttered, "come on, you son of a bitch."

"Can anyone see it?" I asked, looking around.

"No," Nancy replied, "Where...?"

The lights stopped and disappeared, and I heard some weird grumble before shouting, "over there!"

I could see the form slightly illuminated from the light coming through the windows behind...

"Jonathan!" I shouted, "it's behind you!"

"Jonathan!" Nancy shouted as he went to swing his spikey baseball bat at the thing but instead was knocked to the ground with a loud and very painful sounding thud.

"Shit! Shoot it, Nance!" I shouted as the lights started to flicker again and the creatures face seemed to split open? Split open?! SPLIT????

What the fuck?!

"Go to hell, you son of a bitch!" Nancy shouted as she started to shoot the fucker again.

Clearly, it didn't like that and let Jonathan go, rising up and letting out a loud scream as it stared us down.

It was between us and the big spikey baseball bat that definitely had a lot more effectiveness than my tiny pocketknife.

"Right," I backed up, "well. That's not a minor inconvenience or anything, is it?"

I turned to Nancy as it started it's approach on us and I held my pathetically small knife up ready, just in case, "shoot it! What're you doing?! Shoot it!"

She did but the gun just clicked over and over, "I'm empty!"

"Fuck!" I shouted as I stepped in front of her and held the knife up, "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, I can't believe I'm doing this—I'm fighting a goddamn monster!"

It reached for me, and I attempted a swing, the blade slashing across the monsters hand(?) and immediately getting stuck, it pulled away and with my pocketknife in the process.

I just stared before looking back at Nancy.

"Well," I shrugged, "run?"

"Y/n, watch out!" she shouted, I went to turn but a shout from my side caught my attention and someone swinging at the monster happened before I could.

"Steve!" Nancy announced his name out in shock, and I turned and gave him a shocked stare as well. I mean—the dude literally legged it out of the house not even two minutes ago and yet... here he is?

Wow, he must think himself quite the hero.

"Watch out!" I shouted at him as he got backed up, "take him into the hallway! The bear trap! The bear trap!"

Steve swung the bat at the monster, leading it down the hall as I'd shouted until finally we'd heard him shout back, "he's in the trap!"

Immediately, Steve slipped past the monster and stood in front of us, bat raised and ready just in case.

"He's stuck!"

"Get your ass off the floor, Jonathan!"

"Jonathan, now!"
