The next day_
Late morning_"Shit, shit, shit, shit," I muttered as I pulled my boots on and hurried through the house.
"What's the hurry, y/n?" Mum asked as I passed her.
"Late to... uh—meeting up with Harrington," I told her.
"That won't do. You hurry along now. It's rude to be late to pre-agreed meetings," she lightly scolded me, and I smiled awkwardly.
"Got it. See you later, Mum," I called to her.
"Yes. And drive safely!" she shouted after me as I grabbed my helmet and keys then threw myself out of the door and to my bike.
I can't believe I slept through my alarm! Damnit!

Starcourt Mall_"Guys! Guys, guys, guys," I skidded into the stupid ice cream shop just to find that there was no one in there. Not even anyone at the counter... slow day..? I guess?
"Y/n?" the window opened, and Robin popped her head out, she seemed to have been sitting on the ledge with the Russian translation book in her hand, "you're pretty late. Didn't think you were coming in today."
"I slept it," I brushed her off as I hurried into the back, "no, more importantly I think I've figured it out—"
A knock came from the door that led into the back alleys of the mall, and she gave me the one-minute sign with her finger up before going to the door and opening it. I sighed as I just watched them from not far behind her.
"Delivery for you," the man on the other side wearing a 'LYNX' delivery uniform greeted her as he passed.
"Thank you," Robin took the box and put it to the side before turning back to sign the delivery form he held out to her.
"Have a nice day," he told her once she was done and she returned it with a rather absent sounding 'yeah, you too' as he left.
"Can you listen to me now?" I asked but she suddenly rushed out in the hall but didn't go any further than the direct space outside the door, "hey, what the—? What's going on?"
"That guy," she pointed after him before grabbing me and forcing me to look where she was, "it's the silver cat. The silver cat is a lynx. It's the silver cat—"
"Oh my god, Robin, this is perfect—come," I grabbed her and dragged her back into the shop, she shut the door after us and I slammed the map down onto the table, "now, my Dad was kind of an investor or something in this mall, right? So he got details blueprints and maps of the place. He got rid of the blueprints, but he still had the detailed map. Look at this. Do you see what I'm seeing?"
She stared down at the map and where I'd circled locations on it.
The Chinese for 'a trip to China sounds nice', the shoe shop, Kaufman's for 'if you tread lightly', the crappy diagram of the "artsy" clock for 'when blue and yellow meet in the west'.
"Oh my god, it's the entire mall," she stared at me as she came to the same conclusion as me.
"Yes! Exactly! I couldn't figure out the silver cat bit but everything else had a point here in the mall. The Chinese, the shoe shop, the stupid ugly ass clock," I pointed harshly at the map as I spoke, "everything is in this mall. And now the silver cat as the delivery guys..."
"This is insane—what about the week is long?" she asked.
"No clue," I shook my head, "I was up late last night trying to figure out what the hell it meant but... nothing. That and silver cat but we've figured that one out now."
