"No shit it's the code, can't they get some new material? Seriously," I sighed. Steve just nudged me lightly before Dustin spoke.

"Wherever that broadcast is coming from—" he started quickly.

"It's close," Robin cut him off with a nod, "and if there's one thing we know about that signal..."

"It can reach the surface," he finished for her.

Because it reached him.

"Brilliant," I nodded, "we can get out of here."
They nodded.

"Let's go," Robin decided before the radio was turned off again and put back into Erica's bag and once again we were back on the path down the tunnel again.

I'm begging that it's not much further, seriously.

Another while later_

Eventually, we finally actually reached something that resembled something. But unfortunately for us, there was a set of Russians coming at us and... semi-quickly. So we quickly hit behind what I'm assuming are either cabinets or unfortunate looking lockers in order to hide ourselves from them.

We were hiding behind them for a few moments before Steve finally gave us the ok to start moving again.

"Okay, clear," he told us before starting to head back to the main section again, "clear, come on, let's go."

"Okay, that was close," Robin breathed out tensely as we all one by one followed after Steve.

"Too close," Dustin muttered.

"Chill out, it's ok," I told them.

"Yeah. Just relax," Steve agreed with me, "alright? Relax. Nobody saw—"

He suddenly trailed off as he rounded the corner ahead of us and when we followed after him we understood just why he was so stunned into his silence.

Ahead of us was a full room. It looked interesting and there were at least twenty or so people just from what I could see right in front of me. A mix of apparent scientists, mechanics, and military or guards—whatever they were, they had big guns, so. Dangerous was the final consensus.

All in all, it was a lively and bustling workplace despite the fact it shouldn't be a lively and bustling workplace because it is supposed to be dirt under the mall and not a secret Russian base.

Seriously.

Does the bad luck ever end?

How deep does this go? It looks like there are more rooms both on the ground(/first) floor and the upper level one either side of the room and even directly ahead. Not to mention that there could be more connection tunnels on either side of the ends of the room that we can't actually see from where we're very much standing in the middle of plain sight and can definitely get caught.

Uh—we should really move.

"Shit," Steve hissed as we all quickly threw ourselves into a crouch behind another cabinet. A gaudy looking red one.

"Red Dawn," Dustin declared.

"You've got to be kidding me," I sighed, "this cannot be happening."

But it is so... get used to it, me.

"I saw it," Erica quickly said, catching our attention, "first(/ground) floor, northwest."

"Saw what?" Steve asked like a fool when there could only be one answer to that question.

"The comms room," she replied a bit more forcefully than I think she—wait, no. It's Erica, the attitude is part of her personality, and I still love that.
