The OOM-Series Battle Droid was the predecessor of the B1 Battle Droid (#1). These were the first droids made by the CIS, and still were used during the Clone Wars alongside their B1 descendants. OOMs were identical in appearance and voice but possessed higher intelligence and independence in their programming than the B1 models, and stood 1.91m (6ft 3in).
They had the same color coding as the B1 Battle Droids, and carried the same standard E-5 blaster rifles.
They weighed 65 kilograms (143.3 pounds). They costed 2,000 credits apiece, with their E-5 blaster rifles costing 900 credits.
One OOM-Series Battle Droid, OOM-9, was tasked with commanding the Trade Federation's forces during their invasion on Naboo. OOM-9 and his forces emerged temporarily victorious over the engagement with the Gungan Army. He was then deactivated-along with his army-when the Lucrehulk-Class Droid Control Ship was destroyed, severing their connecting with the central computer.
