The Plasma Battle Droid was a massive variation of the B1 Battle Droid (#1). It had a striking resemblance to the B1 Grapple Droid (#40). They were used by the Trade Federation. They were designed to disrupt enemy infrastructure.
They had two cannons at the end of their arms which shot out plasma blasts. They were formidable, yet inaccurate and clumsy. They had green shoulder plates, with the rest bone-white. They were 12ft (3.7m) tall.
Plasma Battle Droids were present during the Invasion of Naboo. Two guarded the Theed Hangar Great Hall, but were ultimately defeated by Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi.
