Also known as the Buzz Droid, Pistoeka Sabotage Droids were a small insect-like droids that were deployed to destroy and dismantle enemy ships and fighters. Designed by the Colicoid Creation Nest, Sabotage Droids were designed based off of Pistos, an insect which were considered as food and pests to the Colicoids. These droids were formally repair droids, then the design was built off of to create the Sabotage Droid for military purposes.
They had multiple appendages, used for both walking and destruction, each one with a unique tool and purpose, and were capable of magnetization used for securing themselves onto star fighters. Sabotage Droids had one main red photoreceptor, with two secondary photoreceptors for advanced vision. When not active, they encased themselves in a shell, which was made of heat dissipating alloys and shock-absorbing materials, used to pass through ray shields. When active, the shell was split in half and attached near the top and sides of the droid. When inside the shell, Buzz Droids measured 0.25m (9.8in) in diametre.
They were deployed through discord missiles, projectiles shot by Droid Tri-Fighters and Vulture Droids that released swarms of Buzz Droids. Then, they magnetized and locked onto ships, boarding and wreaking havoc, although the main sensor was its weak spot, and could be deactivated if zapped or hit hard enough. They could communicate to each other.
During the Battle of Coruscant, Buzz Droids were deployed onto Republic ARC-170 star fighters. They severed the enemy astromech droids and tore their ships apart.
