The Super Tactical Droid was designed to replace the T-Series Tactical Droid. They were similar in appearance, and both still had arrogance and selfishness in their programming. The Super Tactical Droid had three yellow photoreceptors, and were either black or white, with gold markings. They were designed to create battle strategies with a time frame, based on the lack of courage of the enemy, and overconfidence in their own army.
Super Tactical Droids had a deep, robotic tone, and were more damage-resistant, and could function after taking a considerable amount of damage. They stood 1.94m (6ft 4.3in) tall. They were programmed to resist interrogation, and were willing to sacrifice themselves for the better of the Separatists. They also possessed self-defense protocols, and were armed with E-5 blaster rifles.
One Super Tactical Droid, General Kalani, was tasked with assisting the King of Onderon in holding the Separatist's control of the city of Iziz. Kalani reported that taking control of Onderon would take too long, and so Count Dooku was not interested. When King Sanjay Rash objected, Kalani shot him with an E-5 Blaster rifle. He and the droid occupation left Onderon.
