Down the Same Path

*3rd person pov*
Tsunade sighed and looked at the ANBU in front of her. She could see Sakura's face it was stoic, with no emotion, but her eyes gave a wave of sadness. She looked at Shikamaru and knew he was having an internal battle with himself. And Hinata, even though naruto left her, she still holds some feelings, not a lot but they're still there. "Shikamaru and Sakura, I know how had it must be to seeing them after a long time ,but remember you are ANBU. You've trained harder than anyone else. You faced betrayal and hardships along the ninja way," she paused and looked at them and smiled when she saw the will of fire burning brightly in their eyes. Though she was worried everyone knew that Sakura will do anything for the village, as her will of fire burns through her veins. "You have the will of fire and along with Hinata and Choji, you became a team. Don't let them stop you. Sadly, you will have to reveal your ANBU status in a month. That is all, dismissed." And with that Sakura and Shikamaru nodded and put their masks on. Both of them left, leaving Tsunade to sign paperwork. A few minutes and she was done with a pile, and soon she started working on another one but a knock was heard on her door. "Enter," she said but straightened up once she saw the elders and Danzo. 'What do they want?' She thought as she narrowed her eyes on a folder Danzo held. "We have a mission for an ANBU . We already picked who will do the job, we just need their approval," the old lady said as the old man nodded a long. Danzo stepped forward and payed the folder on her desk. It said Confidential in bright bold red words and Tsunade felt a feeling settle in her stomach. She slowly opened the folder and her eyes widened. 'NO!' She thought but she knew she couldn't do anything as Danzo smirked. She looked up at the elders, and saw them staring at her. "When does this mission begin?" She asked fearing the worst. "Tsunade it shall be done in 4 months, just know that Sakura will choose the right choice," and with that they left, leaving Tsunade with her though and a sense of dread. She looked at the folder and saw a tear drop fall and land on the folder. 'The will of fire and your loyalty is your downfall , Sakura,'
*With Sakura and Shikamaru*
They were both jumping on the rooftop and saw the sun setting. "I wonder how Hinata is doing? It must be hard seeing naruto again," Shikamaru said as they neared their house . They both rented and saw Hinata out of her ANBU gear and Choji put of his jōnin gear. "What's wrong?" The pinkette said as she closed the door and took of her mask. Hinata sighed and Choji sadly smiled. "It's hard seeing them again. All I felt was betrayal when I saw them and I wanted to cry," Hinata said as her eyes tested up,"I still like Naruto and it hurts," and with that she took a deep breath and wiped her eyes, before smiling at them. Choji smiled back, and Shikamaru sighed while Sakura looked at the ground. "Lady Tsunade said we will have a month to reveal our ANBU status and ourselves," Sakura said as she crossed her arms. "You May reveal yourselves earlier if you like, its your choice." Shikamaru nodded and Hinata stared at her hands. "Sakura," Choji said as Shikamaru and Hinata stared at him ,"Are you okay?" Those words seem to ring in her ears. "I'm alright, I need a shower and Shikamaru its your turn to cook," and with that she left to her room, the one in the end of the hall. As she was walking she passed Hinata's, Choji's, and Shikamaru's door. Her room was ordinary. It had a bed, curtains, a wardrobe, a closet, a couch, and a bathroom. Her light colored wall as were decorated with some photos of her and her team, and her new family. She lightly smiled at the one on her wardrobe. It was the first photo of their training session. She grabbed some clothes and towels and turned on her shower, quickly getting in. She could still remember that day.
*flashback*
Sakura was running with everything she had, and could see Hinata doing the same. They were both being chased by Gai sensei, but they both knew he was going at a slow pace for him. Yet, he was slowly catching up to them. Shikamaru and Choji were fending off lee with the little Taijutsu they knew. 'We're gonna die,' they all thought. Their muscles screamed for rest and they all knew they would be sore tomorrow. "The power of youth is within you, so run young people and lee don't go easy on them alright," the older man said as he picked up his speed. "Yes Gai-sensei!" Lee shores and fought harder. The girls started running faster and the boys fought harder, yet they were no match for them. In the end of the day, the four of them laid on the soft grass ,
sweating and heaving, but they felt accomplished . Gai and lee were tired but not as much as the other four. "Good job, youngsters. Tomorrow it will be as fun as today was," and at that Gai laughed at his own comment and he stopped when he got an idea. He took out a camera and had lee follow him to the heap of the others. "Now! Smile at the camera," and with that they all smiled.
*flashback finished*
She slowly got out of the shower with a smile and quickly dried herself ,before putting on her clothes. She jogged to the kitchens and saw the table set up. Choji was eating his food quickly, while Hinata took small bites of her food. Shikamaru could be seen in the kitchen making more food ,probably for Choji, and saw her plate on the table. She smiled at them and sat down, and started eating her food. Shikamaru smirked from the kitchen and took out a tomato. 'Let the war begin," he thought as he threw it at Choji. Choji stopped eating and looked up to a smirking Shikamaru. "This is war!" He exclaimed and threw food everywhere , accidentally hitting the two Kunoichi. Sakura and Hinata stared at each other and slowly a smirk took on their faces. Food was seeing flying everywhere in the kitchen, and laughs could be heard throughout the room they were in. Though they all groaned when they had to clean up, but were smiling. Sakura looked at all of them picking up the food from the floor and though 'This is my family,'
