Sakura woke up after two hours and opened her eyes slowly. "Ugh I feel like I got hit by a bus," she muttered to herself and slowly stood up. She was not in her room. She saw Tobi enter the room and he gave a wave. "Tobi where am I?" She asked with a yawn and stretched. "Sakura is in Tobi's room and Tobi cleaned your mask because it had blood," he said proudly presenting the mask to her. Internally, she was grateful ,but she gave a fake smile to him. Obito frowned at that but kept his cheery personality up. "Pein wants to see Sakura to see how she's doing. He said to go to his office," he said and she nodded and put her mask on. She fixed her ring, put her spiky hair up, and fixed her ninja headband. "Thank you Tobi," and with that she walked out of his room and walked down the hall. She neared Pein's office and knocked. She heard a come in and entered the room. Pein was sitting on his chair and said,"How are you feeling?" Sakura sat down in the chair in front of the desk and said,"I'm feeling fine." Pein nodded and asked,"How did your training go?" "Well, I did the earth clone, the Mudwall, and that was it," she said knowing she had disappointed Pein. The answer she got was unexpected. "Sakura, I have never trained a member, especially a new member. You have potential that only I can see. You are strong not weak. That's why I'm training you," he said as he stood up. "Forget about the past, Sakura. Live the future. This world is not going to wait for you a month has passed. They know Sakura, that you killed the Nara clan and it's your job to protect yourself. I'll attend training with you and train with you, teach you new techniques. And you'll have the Rinnegan once I'm done teaching you. Dismissed," Sakura nodded and went out of the office. Pein didn't know why she felt like a younger sister to him. Maybe because of her age and how small she is compared to everyone else. Pein knew he will die and leave her alone. Everyone dies , except Hidan he's immortal, but he won't leave her unprotected. He'll teach her everything he can, and he will have to let her go. He sighed at the paperwork and went to take a walk outside. Sakura sat in the living room, with her hands covering her eyes. She was in deep thought and didn't feel the tap on her shoulder. Itachi tapped her shoulder again and Sakura looked at him. "Come, we have something to discuss," he said and walked to his room. Sakura followed him and stopped when Itachi was opening the door. They both walked in and Sakura closed the door. "Why did you kill the clan?" He asked as he sat down on the bed. "I ..did it to prove I'm not weak," she said trying to make her lie convincing. Itachi shook his head and said,"If i tell you why I had to kill my clan, will you tell me why you killed your friend and his clan?" Sakura nodded and Itachi began. "I was given a choice kill my clan and spare Sasuke or have danzo kill them all and Sasuke. I loved my clan but they were planning a coup. I loved my village more, but I loved my brother on top of everything. So I took the mission, I was ANBU captain back then, and I started to distance myself from my family. In the last day, I put my ANBU gear own, walked outside and killed my people. The last ones to die were my parents and they told me that their pain would end quickly while mine will last and my dad's last words were take care of sasuke. I had to leave the village and turn rogue," Itachi sighed and saddened at his past and he looked at Sakura. Sakura took a deep breath and started,"Right after I became a captain I was called to a meeting. The meeting was about the Nara clan planning a coup, and my friend was in charge of it. It was either me kill them or someone else. I love my village, Itachi and my friends as well. I did it for their safety, and the day before my birthday I said my final goodbyes. I started to massacre the clan at 11 and my friend and his parents were last. They told me the same words your parents told you, but Shikamaru said To take care of my friends and that he was going to miss us. Just like you I had to turn rogue and at 12 am it was my birthday. The gift I got was being banned from the village, that was what I had to do. To save my friends I sacrificed my life for them," she put her head down and was grateful for her mask. "We both did it to protect the people we love, but they will never know. We can't say a word. We're in the same position. There will be konoha ninja looking for you, don't let your feelings get the best of you. I understand where you come from, Sakura," Itachi said and Sakura nodded. "I'll take care of you for Sasuke," he said lightly smiling. Sakura gasped and smiled a sad smile. "Thank you," and with that she left the room.
