Down the Same Path

Hi guys it's author-san. Sorry i haven't updated, I've been busy with school, but am back and now we are taking a trip to memory lane.

*Itachi's pov*
Flashback

The first time he saw her, all he saw was a hurt and emotionless kunoichi. She had unusual emerald eyes that hid pain, and unusual pink hair, though the diamond on her forehead promised years of training. She was an ANBU captain ,before she killed a clan. He could tell by the clothes she was wearing. 'Maybe she's like me,' he thought as he sadly smiled at her, but was covered by his cloak.

The next time he saw her , she was in her akatsuki cloak and her mask wasn't on. He saw her pink lips and her scarless face, and all he could think was ,'beautiful.'  He shook that thought away and soon found himself eating the dumplings she had made. Her cooking reminded him of his mother's cooking and he frowned.

The day he talked to her , he finally saw who she was. She was a loyal shinobi and had the same path he had to take. Their loyalty was their downfall. He understood her pain and was finally happy he could relate to someone. Happy that for the first time someone didn't call him a cold blooded killer.

*Flashback ends*

Now they're back at the place they're hated the most. He winced as he rubbed his head and looked around. The Akatsuki boys were on the floor while Sakura and Konan were happily stealing some clothing from their closets. "Why, thank you for the clothes, Hidan and Itachi," Sakura gleefully said as she exited their rooms with a pile of clothes. "Hn!/Hey! Those are my clothes!" Were heard but Sakura paid no attention to them. Konan was smirking as she cut some of their shirts and pants and painted them. "Sakura, I'm done," she said and Sakura came out with some black shinobi pants, a clean black mask, and one of Itachi's black shirts. Itachi gulped and soon found himself with the others tied up.

He felt his face heat up as he saw her with his shirt but shook his head. "Alright, we have to go and discuss things with the Hokage," konan said and Sakura nodded and put on her cape. "We'll be back in the afternoon, don't make a mess," and with that the two Akatsuki girls exited the home. "Man, we messed up un," deidara said and got a kunai and cut his bonds free. "It was fun though," Hidan said but soon glared at the smirking Kisame. "You didn't help us fish stick!" "Oi, I didn't do anything, and I am perfectly unharmed," he said with a shrug and sat down. "Now for your fault we have to waste money," kakuzu grumbled and glared.

*With the Girls*

"Idiots," Sakura said and konan nodded as they were walking to the Hokage's office. They both entered and were met with Tenten, Sasuke, Naruto, Choji, and Hinata. "Akatsuki, welcome," Tsunade said as she saw the two girls. "I know that this meeting was brought together on the last minute, but there has been sightings of kabuto roaming on the borders," and at that Sakura tightened her black gloves. Konan threw her a glance but looked back to Tsunade. "Is that so?" Tsunade nodded and fixed some papers. "He has been digging up the Nara graves and taken the bodies," Sakura glared at the ground and clenched her fists even tighter. "He must be eliminated or the upcoming war will be deadly. I want you to send one of your shinobi, Akatsuki." Sasuke and the others gasped but Konan sighed. "Very well, Sakura is the shinobi I'll send," and with that Naruto quickly screamed. "What!" "Naruto, sit down and quiet," Tsunade said in a threatening tone but Naruto didn't lesson. "But Sakura Chan just got back and I don't want to lose her again," he said as he looked down in sadness and defeat.

"Sakura eliminate kabuto and while you're at it, bring back Orochimaru's ring," konan said and Sakura nodded and headed for the door. Naruto quickly ran to the form of the door, and refused to let Sakura to pass. "Granny! At least let me go with her!" He exclaimed but stopped as he felt a pat on his head. He stared at Sakura with shock and the rest froze. "Sorry Naruto, maybe next time," and with that she disappeared. Hinata, Sasuke, Choji, and Tenten stared in shock , while Naruto had a familiar expression on his face. Konan nodded and disappeared as well , and walked to the new home. "Konan," Kisame said as she entered the house. "Where's Sakura?" And at that all the Akatsuki members stared at her.

"She's on a mission, don't worry she'll be back," she said but had a bad feeling. Itachi's eyes widened and everyone froze. The last time Sakura and Kabuto fought, Sakura almost died.

'Kabuto, I'm coming for you,' was what Sakura thought as she sped through the forest. 'First you torture me, and now you even disturb their rest! You'll pay.'
