Down the Same Path

'2 months....I thought it was 3 wait in two months it's my bday,' she thought as she checked her calendar. On March 28th the coup will start, but on March 27th she will strike. '2 months to say goodbye...,' and with that she slowly fell asleep.
*Morning*
She heard her alarm for the fifth time and decided that it was ,finally, time to get up. She looked at her alarm and realized she would be late if she ate breakfast. "Well, no breakfast for me. Joy."she groaned and quickly put her clothes on, opened her window, put on her two masks, and lept out. 'I have to inform Lady Tsunade about what I heard,' she ran and never stopped until she finally arrived in front of her sensei. She let out a breath and she felt the need to sleep more, "Lady Tsunade, i found new information regarding the mission I have been assigned." Tsunade lent forward on her desk and asked for the information. As Sakura was about to say it, she felt a chakra near and decided to write it down. She passed the note to Tsunade and it said In two months the coup will start. Tsunade was shocked and said,"But it's going to be your birthday, Sakura. Are you sure you want to carry this mission and complete it?" Sakura nodded and said,"Yes mi Lady, I will say my goodbyes when time comes." Tsunade sighed, Theres no doubt she though of Sakura as her own daughter, but fate was cruel. "Dismissed, Sakura," And when Sakura left , she took out a bottle of sake and shizune came in and took it away. Sake...
*Anbu headquarters*
'Now I see why Lady Tsunade hates paperwork,' thought Sakura as she saw a pile that required her signature. She started signing and singing until a knock was heard from her door. "Enter." Hinata quietly walked in and bowed but Sakura told her there was no need. "Hinata what brings you here?" She asked her hyuga friend who looked concerned. "Sakura yesterday I was doing my daily round of the village but saw something strange. I followed the scent that was left behind and it led me to Shikamaru. I entered his room and saw plans and a sketch of the village. I'm concerned Sakura," Sakura quickly though of an excuse but was grateful for the information. "I told him to sketch me the village and come up with plans on how to protect it and better the security. "Don't worry Hinata, it will be alright." Hinata smiled and bowed, ignoring Sakura's protest before leaving. 'It will be alright. Really Sakura? When has anything been alright?' She asked herself as she knew her inner was gone. One day she was there, and then she was gone. Vanished. 'How i would wish someone would tell me it will be alright, but I know it's a lie.' So far the papers signed were approvals of improving training grounds, better security around the gates, better training methods, and at least train some ANBU to enter the medical field. She was proud for coming this far, but knew that she couldn't have done it without the friends she has left it will have left. "Captain, you must attend the meeting we're holding," the same ANBU messenger said and she got up and walked behind him. She entered a room that had 10 ANBU, the best of their division. Shikamaru, the intelligent sector, Hinata the sensory sector, and the other 8 were unknown to her. She sat down at the chair in the front and clasped her hands together. "Alright, listen up!" She said with authority in her voice, causing the rest of the ANBU to straighten up in their chairs. "I want to improve the training grounds, training methods, and would like some ANBU to learn medical jutsu. I would like to improve something else, but I already picked certain individuals that will do the job just fine. This will help us in battle and we will be able to protect our village better. Any questions?"
The 10 ANBU in the room listened intently to the changes and understood that the requests she said will be permanent. "No captain," Shikamaru said and Sakura's hand lightly shook, but she calmed down. "Dismissed," And with that they all transported somewhere else. She went back to her office and started assigning missions. They appeared easy for her but the ANBU level is a high level. When she finished doing her part, she left and went to get some food in the village. She had taken off her vest and her ANBU mask off and was only left in black clothing ,along with her mask and put her hair down. 'Never reveal your identity,' is what Itsuki told her and she never did. She hoped no one would recognize her as she walked through town. She found ichiraku's ramen stand and heard the voices of the old konoha 12, along with team taka and the three senseis. She knew shikamaru, Hinata, and Choji were at the house they shared, so she entered and sat down. Luckily the chair she found was far from them, so she relaxed a little. She ordered a miso ramen but a knucklehead ninja seemed to recognize her voice. "Sakura-Chan! Come sit with us!" He said as he brightly smiled at her. Sakura found herself finding a smile on her face but quickly replaced it with a stoic expression. "Uzumaki , i only came to get food and after I have to get back to work. So please, don't bother me." Naruto frowned at that but decided to make a risky move. He grabbed his plate of ramen, and sat next to her, surprising her and the rest of his friends. "Here you can have mine and we can wait together! What do you say?" Naruto handed her his plate and smiled. Sakura was stunned and didn't know how to react until she was about to say something mean, but remembered something Itsuki told her.

"Why do you prefer to be alone?" He asked her as she dodged a punch he threw at her. " I won't get betrayed or be left behind when I'm alone." She replied as she threw a chakra infused punch at him but he easily dodge. "Sakura I understand what happened to you shouldn't have but do remember we all have a tragic story."
*fladhback ends*
'We all have a tragic story, how right you are Itsuki. My life is tragic' was all she could think but looked at Naruto. "Fine Uzumaki," she took the plate and Naruto seemed to brighten up. "Alright, this feels like a date. Don't you agree Sakura?" Sakura found herself remembering memories she had buried away. She decided to make the loud blonde happy for once and said," Yeah it does, Naruto." Naruto and the rest looked at her in shock but Naruto laughed, a happy laugh and stared at the girl next to him and softly smiled in adoration. 'I was wrong the Sakura , the happy one is still there. Hold on Sakura I'll save you from your demons. That I promise!' "Finally, i got a date with you Sakura-Chan!" "Don't go to far Naruto."
