Always a Memory

I suddenly wake up.

Ouch!

I feel my body very sore.

"You're awake..! Don't move. You are badly hurt..rest." A familiar voice said to me.

I turn to look and I see Alistair, Ethan's younger brother.

We used to play a lot as kids.

"Why did you save me...?" I ask him.

"I couldn't let them kill you..." He said with a sad expression.

I nod.

"Do you want the throne?" I ask him.

He nods.

"With you by my side." He said with a smile.

He tries to touch my face, but I back up.

"Who did that to you..." he says with a concerned and sad look on his face.

"Did she do this to you...?" He asks and I nod.

He clench his fists.

"Doesn't matter now. I will make them pay for what they did to me. Especially HIM. He will pay triple the pain he gave me..." I say while clenching my fists.

"Calm down. Do not do anything rash." He warns and I nod.

"I will help you get the throne. In exchange you help me get revenge on both of them." I look at him.

He agrees.

"First, we have to make sure no one knows you are alive." He says and sends for some people.

"What is all this?" I ask him.

"If you want to get revenge...you have to change." He says and I get sent to a doctor.

I get out to sleep and next thing I know I wake up on a comfy bed with a middle aged man looking at me.

"It's okay. Do not panic." He calms me down and Alistair comes and sits next to me. The man leaves.

"How are you feeling." He asks me.

"Very weird." I tell him honestly.

He gives me a small mirror.

My face!!!

"He changed your face. Now you can get revenge, but you have to stick by me. It will get ugly." He says and I just nod.

I look beautiful...

"What is your plan?" I ask him.

"I know how I will beat him. Don't worry. Just take care of yourself and be very careful with his wife." He warns.

"Thank you." I smile at him.

He smiles back.

"You will now be called Amelia. You are to be the niece of a prime minister, Charles." He hands me a bracelet.

I quickly take it and put it on.

My mother's bracelet...I can't lose it..

I thank him.

"Now rest." He lays me down and leaves.

When he leaves I grab the mirror next to me.

No one will tell who I am..

I smile at myself.

Now it's time to play..
