Always a Memory

Weeks go by and I get no letter from Alistair.

He forgot me..I knew it!

I throw everything on the floor in anger.

"My lady! Calm down! Please!" She begs but I don't listen.

He lied to me! He never once loved me!

"Princess..your majesty wants to see you." A servant says and I nod.

I wipe away my tears and head to see him.

"How are you doing princess?" He asks.

I try my best to sound happy but I fail.

"I'm great father.." I say to him.

"Since it's been so long now..I think it's best you marry Ethan." He says with a big smile.

Never.

"I couldn't betray my husband father..I love him.." I say to him.

He sighs and nods.

"Alright you can go." He says and I leave.

Ethan must have put him up to it..I don't have much time. I have to keep stalling for more time.

I go back to my room and I see Ethan waiting for me.

"Did father ask you?" He asks.

I nod.

"I can't do it..I love my husband..." I say with a weak smile.

"I can make you love me my princess...please." He pleads.

I start to feel worse and suddenly I collapse.

"Princess!" Is the only thing I hear before I pass out.

I wake up with Lola holding my hand.

"My lady you are finally awake." She says happily.

"What happened." I suddenly feel a sharp pain all around my body.

"The doctor said you fainted from not eating so well these few weeks. You have to eat well princess Please." She pleads.

I nod.

She hands me a plate of food and I eat.

I just miss him so much..

I start to cry.

"Don't cry princess.." She hugs me.

"It hurts..I miss him." She gives me medicine and I quickly fall asleep.

I see Alistair running towards me but it's like he stays in the same spot.

The more he runs the farther he is from me.

"Wait Alistair! Please!" I yell out to him.

He disappears.

"Alistair! Don't leave me! I love you! I finally love you! Don't abandon me!" I yell out in tears.

"Princess! Wake up!" I hear it repeatedly and I wake up.

I feel tears on my face.

I look up to see It's Ethan.

"You were crying...repeating Alistair's name.." he says with a bothered face.

He sits me up.

"Why did he have to go?" I ask him.

He doesn't respond.

I sigh.

"Can you at least me what the mission is..???" I ask anxiously.

He ignores the question.

"How are you feeling?" He asks.

As if you care.

"Don't act like you care." I tell him.

He looks at me surprised.

"I know what happened to the general. What you did to her was-..." he grabs me by the throat.

"Don't ever mention her again." He says angrily.

"Uh..! You're hurting..Ugh! Me!" I say trying to catch my breath.

He lets go and leaves the room.

He was not this aggressive until now. He is getting more dangerous.

I get up and head to his room.

Luckily I know where he goes when he is upset...I have enough time to check his room..

I quickly sneak in without anyone noticing and I look around.

I remember there was something he was hiding when I confronted him before.

I look around for a bit longer and notice letters in his drawer at his desk.

L-Letters..??

I check from who they are from and they are from Alistair.

He was hiding these from me?!

I take a look at all of them.

"My dear wife. I am okay over here. I miss you so much. It has only been a day and I already want to go back to you. I love you darling."

"I know you must be busy but It has been a week since I sent you a letter. Is everything okay my love? I'm worried. Are you with Ethan? Do you not love me?"

"Why wont you respond to me? It's been weeks and no reply. You don't love me anymore right? You can't wait for me right? Fine."

He hid these letters from me!

I check the other letters and its from an unknown person.

Before I can read them I hear Ethan close by so I put everything back where they belong.

I'll have to find a chance to read them..

I hear the doors open.

Oh no! I'm doomed!
