Always a Memory

After staying with Alistair for so long, I have forgotten my mission to take revenge.

I really think I love him..

Ethan has been trying to get my attention but I have been ignoring him for Alistair.

"All I think about is him Lola.." I smile.

"I think it's time you tell him my lady." She hands me a cup of tea.

Maybe I should tell him.

I go out to find Alistair but I get the worst news of my life.

"He was sent away for the rest of the year on a secret mission by his father." One of his maids confess.

I stand there in shock.

.....why now...He will be gone this other half of the year..

I fall down in tears.

"My lady..it's okay. He will come back." She reassures me.

"I want to stay in my room.." she takes me to my room and I just lay there in tears.

Ethan's pov

I can't help but think of her all day.

She is something special.

"Are you even listening to me?!" My annoying wife complains.

I just nod.

"What are you thinking about?! I see how you look at that witch! You better stay in your place if you know what's good for you!" She yells.

I get angry and I wrap my hand around her throat.

"It seems you forget who you are talking to." I squeeze her throat and she widens her eyes.

You'll see!

I squeeze it even harder.

"I-I'm..I-.." she tries to talk but I don't let her.

If I kill her now..I'll get into trouble..

I groan and let go.

She drops to the floor coughing, gasping for air.

"You dare hurt me for her.." she says in anger.

"It has nothing to do with you. Stay in your place." I tell her.

She shuts her mouth.

Finally

I remember Amelia telling me she wants to be my wife.

How do I get rid of her...

I keep thinking of what to do.

Now I have a chance to see her alone..

I convinced my father to send my brother away to the enemy so I can have Amelia all to myself.

Now is the best time to see her.

"Your majesty!" Comes running one of Amelia's servants.

"Why are you here? What is it?" I ask concerned.

"My lady has refused to eat and drink anything for hours! I can only ask you for help!" He pleads.

What?! I have to see her!

I quickly change and head there as fast as possible.

"Amelia! My lady!" I yell for her.

She has the door locked and I suddenly smell smoke.

A f-fire!!?!!

"FIRE!" Yells one of the servants.

"Help!" I hear her scream in fear.

"I'm coming my lady!" I try to bust the door down and after many attempts I manage to come in.

"Amelia!" I yell for her.

I run around and see her lying on the floor.

The fire starts spreading even faster and I quickly carry her outside.

"Amelia I'm here! Wake up! Get the royal doctor!" I yell out.

I take her to my room and lay her down.

"I'm here my lord." I hear the doctor.

"Heal her now!" I demand.

He nods and checks her.

"She is unconscious. She must have gotten a blow to the head. She does have some burns but they are not serious. She is also very weak. It seems she has not eaten or drank anything. I'll prescribe some ointment and medicine." He writes them down.

One of my servants grab it and go ask for them.

Somebody planned it..I'm going to find out who!
