Always a Memory

I open my eyes and I feel a sharp pain on my right side.

"My lord! She is awake!" A maid screams and Alistair comes running to me.

"Maya! You're finally awake!" He grabs my hand.

He helps me sit.

"It's been 2 days since the incident...I thought I lost you.." he starts to tear up.

It breaks my heart to see him like this...

I wipe his tears.

"Don't cry...I'm here. I'm sorry for what I did. I won't risk my life again..." I reassure him.

He nods and smiles.

"Madam..His Majesty wants to come see you...he heard you awoke.." Lola quickly tells me.

"I'll be on my way. Be careful..." Alistair let's him in and leaves.

Ethan comes in and runs towards me.

"Thank the heavens you are alive...you did this for me....I'm sorry I put you through it..I'll make it up to you.." he takes out a big box and opens it.

A necklace..!?!?

I don't take it.

"I can't..you have someone already..I can't take that." I look away.

He grabs my chin gently and pulls me towards him.

"Please take it..." he pleads.

He used to be just like this...greedy idiot

I shake my head.

He gets serious.

"I don't take no for an answer." He puts the necklace on me.

He smiles at me.

"It looks beautiful on you..." he confesses.

"Thank you." I lay back down.

"I understand. Have a good rest my lady.." he quickly leaves.

Now how to get rid of Lana...that stupid wife of his..

I rest for a few days.

"It's time you take a walk my lady." Lola comes in ready to change me.

I nod and she helps me change.

"Let's go my lady." She takes my hand and slowly helps me walk around the palace.

"It's such a beautiful day." I tell her and she nods.

"My lady you can relax there." She points at a really comfortable chair in view of the garden.

She sits me down and I lay there viewing the garden. Feeling the nice breeze with the sun shining as bright as ever.

"How is it my queen." Alistair comes from behind and takes my hand.

"I love it..did you do this?" I ask him.

He nods.

I blush and smile.

"I love seeing you smile." He kisses me and I stay shocked.

I feel my heart beat very fast.

He laughs seeing my flustered face.

"Adorable." He quickly runs off before I can go get him.

Childish.

I blush harder.

"It seems he loves you my lady.." she giggles.

"Shhhh" I hit her gently and giggle with her.

Maybe he isn't like his brother after all..
