Ask Alex ~A wattpad Advice Column~

Dear Alex,

I started dating one of my best friends Andrew. He is such a gentleman and my family loves him. My other best friend Noah on the other hand does not. He keeps saying that Andrew is a jerk. I know he has his quirks. Like he says what is on his mind and can sometimes be rude without realizing it. 

Today Noah told me that he was extremely pissed at Andrew but would not tell me why. I asked Andrew what he did to upset Noah and Noah found out and got upset that I brought it up to Andrew. 

After Noah told me what he did since Andrew had no clue, Noah said he was trying to saving me. He said that I deserve someone better then Andrew and that I was changing. He told me I used to be nice, cool, sweet, and real chill, but now I am distant, annoyed, and angry. 

He is right. I have had a lot going on at once and I don't want to talk to anyone. My dad has deployed and there is a lot of family drama. Like my grandma stealing my mom medication after she had surgery and blaming my brother and I. 

I know Noah cares a lot about me and I care a lot about him. I don't know what I would do with out him. He is my best friend and we get along really well. He wants what is best for me and is trying to protect me from Andrew. Noah just wants me to be happy but he doesn't want to lose me either. 

I don't want to lose Noah. I really don't like how Andrew acts with people. He doesn't understand what he is doing. Andrew is such a sweet heart and really great, but I don't want to be with him if it drives a wedge between me and Noah. I love Andrew, but my friends are real and that is hard to find. 

Summer just started today and I don't know what I should do. Should I break up with Andrew? No matter what I am going to save my relationship with Noah. I don't think that talking to  Andrew about it will help. This is the first boy that my entire family likes and that makes it harder to decide what to do. What should I do about Andrew? He is so good to me but not so much towards others, especially Noah...

Help please.

Well, you know how you need a second opinion? Well I got one from my friend for ya. She told me that you and Andrew should take a break.. She doesn't see and good happening from you guys or Noah in the future. It will just maybe cause more problems. She doesn't think that you should just dump the guy just cause her friend doesn't like him but if it is causing you problems and it's something that you think you should do and would benefit you, then you should. 

I for one.. think that my friend is right on this one, that's why i thought I would share it with you.
