Dear Alex,

I have a best friend, we fought once and my crush was on her side, not mine. While I avoided them, my crush called me mean things behind my back. Right now my crush is asking my best friend to be his girlfriend, it's up to my best friend to tell him yes or no. What should I do? Should I change to see me differently? I need answers.

Dear Jullia, 

Oh honey, never ever EVER change so someone can see you differently. I know it hurts that he asked your best friend out but that's all on him. If he doesn't like you or can't see you for who you are then that's his loss. Don't go changing yourself because then that's really not you, you know? Like what happens when you start to show who you really are after he gets to know the girl that you changed? It's not a good result, I can tell you that much. Just move on from liking him. He doesn't sound very nice anyway. I'm sure you can find someone that doesn't want your best friend. I've been in a similar situations. The best is to get over the hurt and move on. it's really for the best ._.
