Dear Alex,

I am a freshmen in highschool an always catch guys checking me out. But no guy ever attempts to talk to me? Why? I want to have guy friends not silent stalkers....And also when some do talk to me I don't know what to say! Help!

Dear freaked out girl, 

Wekk some guys are shy and don't know how to go up to a pretty girl or things like that. Guys do get shy and nervous to talk to a girl. If they check you out smile at them or wave or something to show that you're intereted too in talking to them or more. When guys talk to you.. well that depends on what they started the conversation with. Go with whatever they are saying and if they just say hi to you just say hi back then if it's a totally rando m guy then ask what grade they are in and start off from there. It's easier to talk about the smaller things to get into the large things and it shows you can keep a convo interesting and maybe even going if you guys end up talking for awhile. If you guys are in different grade levels, ask what lunch you have if you have two lunchs and if your in the same lunch then ask if you can sit with them or something. If you guys don't see each other at all, ask if they have a phone and ask if they can text and get to know each other that way or like met up before or after school. These little things can get you some more guy friends :)
