The brunette just shook her head. She turned her attention back on Spencer. "I'm giving you your birthday gift on your actual birthday."
Spencer smiled. "I can't wait."
Caitlin returned the gesture and made her way over to begin working on her computer while Spencer went to look at the messages on the ping pong balls. She had just read one that said 'bring me hot cocoa' when Cisco's computer binged with an alert.
"Oh, God." Cisco muttered, taking a seat in front of the monitor.
"What is it?" Spencer asked, sitting up straighter.
Instead of answering her directly, Cisco leaned toward the mic that linked them to Barry. "Barry, bank robbery in progress at Cunningham and Sampere."
"I got it," Barry's voice replied.
"Wait, that's where I bank." Caitlin commented as she walked up behind them.
"Once super thieves showed up, I went mattress." Cisco stated.
"Smart move." Spencer nodded.
A few minutes later, Barry spoke to them through the comms again, explaining that everyone in the bank had somehow turned against one another as if they were brainwashed. He told them he'd update them back at STAR Labs when he was done with the CCPD.
For the next half hour, Spencer played target practice with her new present and the wall outside the Cortex entry way. Her three coworkers were in other parts of the lab, so the constant tapping of plastic wasn't annoying anyone and the potential of getting hit was minimal. That was until Barry zoomed in to the lab.
"Ow!" he exclaimed, his hand flying to his shoulder. He glanced to the ground where the white ball was bouncing up and down. He picked it up and glanced curiously at the sharpie sprawled words. "I'm trying to nap?"
Spencer giggled, standing up and taking the ball away from his grasp. "Sorry about that. I'm just goofing around with the gift Cisco got for my birthday."
"It's your birthday?" Barry asked, following the blonde further into the lab.
"It's Thursday actually. December 4th." She corrected, placing the gun and it's ammo in the drawer underneath her computer.
Barry nodded, a small smile growing on his face. "How old will you be?"
"Twenty Four." She told him. "Yeah, I'm getting old."
"Still a year behind me."
"Oh, so you're like old old."
"Shut up." He chuckled. "Where's everyone else."
Spencer shrugged, "Here, I'll text them." She grabbed her phone from the top of her desk and found the group chat she had with Caitlin, Cisco and Wells, originally titled 'STAR Labs'. She felt her cheeks heat up when she noticed Barry leaning over her shoulder.
"You guys have a group chat?"
She nodded, taking a small step away from him before her cheeks became to red. "Uh huh. Caitlin, Cisco and I also have one called the 'The Three Amigos'."
"I want to be a part of the group chat!" he whined playfully.
"Well then it would no longer be three." She pointed out.
"Then we can call it...The Fantastic Four."
"That's so cheesy...but I love it." They laughed as she began adding Caitlin, Cisco and Barry into a new group on her phone. She also added Barry to the STAR Labs group chat and changed the name to Team Flash. She was sure he'd appreciate that.
