"He could run faster than the speed of sound but he still wasn't fast enough to close the distance between them."
Spencer Hathaway had a good life. Not incredibly noteworthy. Not utterly horrible. Just good. Then Barry Allen was struck by lighting...

REMINDER: I love you awesome nerds for all of your comments and wishes for me to update- and by all means keep at it, they give me life, I promise. And while it makes me motivated to update faster, I still have to write out the chapter before I can post anything. So when you guys ask me to update, I am working hard on it, but it actually takes a couple hours to churn out one chapter! Anyways, continue with your lovely comments they make my day, just know it takes time to produce the work you all seem to enjoy! Thanks! xo

"Flash Missing. Vanishes in Crisis," Cisco reads aloud.
The four of them were still staring at the article in disbelief.
"After an epic street battle with the Reverse-Flash, our city's very own Scarlet Speedster disappeared in an explosion of light," Barry read, as they group walked closer.
"Barry look at the date," Spencer told him softly.
"April 25...2024?" He shook his head, "Guys when I fought the Reverse Flash at Christmas, he said that we'd be fighting for centuries.
"Wait, you can't really think that this is from," Caitlin hesitated, "The future."
"That would mean Dr. Wells, or whoever he is, is also..." Cisco began.
"From the future," Barry concluded.
"I have to say, I'm really digging the brighter red suit," Cisco commented as he observed the picture of Barry on the paper, "And the white on the symbol? That's dope." He stopped for a moment, considering what they were learning, "Wait a second. Suppose we now change the color on your suit. Will it be because we got the idea from this picture? That would mean we're living in a causal nexus. This wow. This is so trippy. Like, Marty and the Polaroid trippy."
As Cisco was rambling on about the suit, Spencer's eyes wandered over other parts of the article, until she got caught on one specific part. Her heart thudded loudly once in her chest before it seemed to still. It also seemed to plummet straight into her stomach.
"Not as trippy as the name on the byline," She mumbled quietly but the others still heard her.
Barry's eyes followed her train of thought and widened, getting the same twisted feeling in his stomach, "Iris West-Allen?"
Barry slowly turned from the hologram to look at Spencer who looked absolutely wounded. When she noticed him looking, she tried to swallow the pain she felt and looked away. Caitlin noticed her reaction and latched on to her hand with her own. Cisco bit his lip, pulling his gaze away from his heartbroken friend to look at his other one, who he didn't realize felt the same way.
"Mazel tov?"
"Hebrew," An electronic voice sounded making them all jump and look around anxiously, "Ancient language of the Jewish people."
