"He could run faster than the speed of sound but he still wasn't fast enough to close the distance between them."
Spencer Hathaway had a good life. Not incredibly noteworthy. Not utterly horrible. Just good. Then Barry Allen was struck by lighting...

Spencer's legs bounced up and down anxiously as she stared out the train window. The scenery that passed became all too familiar to her and her heart was racing. With excitement or nerves, she couldn't say. She could hear her two best friends speaking but didn't know what they were saying as she wasn't paying attention. That was until Cisco cleared his throat.
"Are you okay, Spence?" He asked, sitting beside her.
"You've been quiet ever since we officially entered Starling City." Caitlin noted from the seat across from them.
She glanced between her two friends and swallowed her nerves. "I'm fine. It's just weird being back is all."
Cisco and Caitlin shared a look but let it go. "So, I'm way too excited about seeing the Arrow Cave." Cisco stated, voice filled with glee.
Spencer snorted but she wasn't going to lie, she was pretty freaking excited too.
The three of them were minutes away from the Starling City train station and were going to visit Team Arrow. Again, Spencer was happy to be there and see Felicity, Oliver and Diggle again after their adventure last week, but being back in the city where she spent her last year of college was bringing back a lot of memories; some good, some bad. And she couldn't figure out if she was hoping she would or wouldn't run into some familiar faces.
Once the train pulled into the station, they collected their things and made their way off. They called an Uber to take them to Palmer Technologies where Felicity was working. On their way over, Spencer thought about how they probably should have called and warned the girl first. Can't go back now.
After arriving at Palmer Tech and one long elevator ride later, they were pushing through the doors to Felicity's office.
"Almost done here, Jerry." Felicity's voice rang, without looking up. "You should have gone home hours ago."
"Who's Jerry?" Caitlin asked as they walked up to her.
Felicity looked at them in alarm as Cisco and Spencer's eyes scanned over the room.
"This place is bigger than my apartment." Cisco commented.
"I think it's bigger than our three apartments combined." Spencer added.
"What are you guys doing here?" Felicity questioned.
"You asked us to analyze the DNA off the arrow that killed Sara." Caitlin explained.
"I was just going to mail you the sample." Felicity mumbled, not sure what to say.
"We had some vacation days coming..." Spencer began, trying to cover for the real reason they came but Cisco obviously had no shame.
"We want to see the Arrow cave." He blurted.
"Yeah that's pretty much it." Spencer shrugged.
"We don't call it that." Felicity stated, walking around them to the door. "Ever."
