01: Friendship
THE TWO WERE INSEPARABLE. Aaron and Aphmau had been friends ever since the first day of kinder. Though Aaron was in 3rd grade and Aph being in kinder, they still somehow just clicked together.

Aph woke up to her mom yelling at her to wake up.
"Aphmau! Aphmau, wake up! I still need to tell you the rules of kinder."
"Coming, Mommy!" Aph answered.
When the two got in the car her mom began telling her the rules that she had to go by if she wanted to continue going to school and not being home-schooled.
By the time they reached the school Aphmau's mom was still on the "no boy" policy.
"Okay Mommy, I get it. I won't be friends' with any boys! Ever!" Aph said.
"That's my girl! Now, go have fun!"
Aphmau walked out of the car and saw the huge school she would be at for the next nine years. Butterflies began to flutter around her stomach. She was nervous. What if no one liked her puns? What if no one liked her in general? Without paying attention to her surroundings, she bumped into someone.
She looked up and said, "S-sorry!"
Whilst looking up, she realized that it was a boy. She ran off, hoping he wouldn't chase her; like her mom said they had a tendency to do.
The boy, Aaron, wondered why she ran off. Was it because his frightening appearance? Most kids didn't like him because of that. And for that, he had no friends. Ever since last year in 2nd grade at this new school he had no friends. Perhaps the rumors of going to Falcon Claw School for the Disobedient Boys had gotten around. That wasn't even his fault. Aaron's mom always had something on her mind besides her son. She felt as if sending him to a school for disobedient children would keep him off her mind for a while. But that wasn't what Aaron thought. He thought that she hated him and never wanted anything to do with him. And that was somewhat true.

Aaron walked outside for recess and saw the girl from before being surrounded by a whole bunch of other girls that looked way older than her. He listened in on their conversation.
"Hey, Ivy! Look at this stubby girl!" One said.
"Lily, a stubby girl? More like a potato!" The other one replied.
They laughed as Aaron walked over.
"Hey! Why don't you leave her alone?" Aaron said, annoyed.
The girls turned around and realized it was Aaron. "S-s-s-sorry!" They stammered in unison whilst running off.
He stuck his hand out to the girl and helped her up. She wiped off the tears in her eyes and stuck her hand out. Aaron shook it and the girl said, "Hi! I'm Aphmau!"
"I'm Aaron" He responded, "Are you okay?"
"Yup! Thank you so much for standing up to those meanies that were calling me names!" Aph said, looking toward the two first grade girls whom were shaking whilst looking at Aaron.
"No problem." He smiled. "I promise I'll never let them do that to you again."
"Pinky promise?"
