When Can I See You Again? ? Aarmau

18- Avoidance

    A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER Aaron came back to school. He missed a couple of days because he had no clue how he was gonna avoid Aphmau. The days past and his guilt grew. His choice was still in place when the last period bell rang; the only class him and Aphmau shared had begun.

    He reached the class and pulled on a 'mask'. In reality, he was just attempting to hide how he was feeling at the moment. There was only one empty seat left other than the one next to Aphmau's- his old seat. Aaron saw the person he'd have to be partners with; Gene. His thoughts lingered over to the letter Gene had written for Aphmau on the day of Prom. It seemed very sincere and nice, but Aaron still had a cage of distrust that was locked in his head, it held a special place for Gene.

    Aaron brushed off the remaining thoughts of Aphmau that were stored in his head. If he wanted to avoid her guilt-free, he had to stop letting even an image of her seep into his head.

    That would be hard. Most of the day his thoughts were of Aph. He didn't mean to sound like a stalker, he was just being honest.

    Clearing out any final thoughts of the girl, he sat down next to Gene, hoping that he wouldn't mind.

    Gene turned around and lifted up an eyebrow. "What brings you here?" he asked, tapping his pointer finger in a rhythm on the wooden desk the two now shared.

    "Long story." Aaron replied.

    "Okay," Gene huffed. "I thought you and Kit- Aphmau were really close."

    "Well, you don't know me very well, now, do you?" Aaron snapped.

    "Keep in mind that I was at this table before you." he mumbled.

    "S-sorry," Aaron sighed. "I just...don't want to be here at the moment."

    "Honestly," Gene began. "Who does?"

    "True." Aaron responded.

    "I'll leave you alone. Even if you are sitting right next to me." Gene murmured the last sentence.

I'm going to regret this so much. Goodbye Aphmau.
