12: The After-Party

AFTER THE DANCE WAS OVER, Laurance had invited everyone he knew that attended Phoenix Drop High to his house for an after-party. Being the opposite of a social butterfly, Aaron didn't want to go. Aph begged and pleaded, but to no prevail. She knew that the two were way too stubborn to give up, turning from what was a small argument into a full battle. Maybe that was too exaggerated, but the two were very persistent in keeping their plans.

Aph caved in, eventually. She decided that they could watch binge watch an anime or TV show at her house. Aaron reluctantly agreed and took her to his car, after bidding their farewells to Katelyn, Laurance, Lucinda, and Garroth.

They made it to her home in record time. As soon as Aaron parked parallel to the curb, Aph received a text from her mother.

Hey, mi hija, I was just calling in to say that I won't be home until tomorrow. The hospital has been very busy these past few days. Love you!
-Mamá

Aph smiled at how Silvanna would always put -Mamá at the end of her text because she didn't know that Aph could tell who it was from.

That night, Aphmau and Aaron sat on her living room couch, binge watching Black Butler. Aph began to fall in love with Sebastian and his devilish ways. But, she had to admit he was no match for Levi from Attack on Titan, one of Aph's favourite anime.

Aaron grew bored around the fifth episode of the first season and began to grow tired. At around the seventh episode, his eyes shut for good and he propped his head up against Aphmau's shoulder. She blushed when his head hit he shoulder, his hot breath pricking her sensitive skin.

She paused the show, realising that she, too, was awfully tired. Eventually, she relaxed and placed her head on the top of his hair that grew messy after Prom. She inhaled his scent, careful not to be too obvious, even if he was sleeping. He smelled of expensive cologne and chocolate. It was a bizarre scent, but smelt so heavenly. Aphmau was glad that Aaron was her friend, even if she wanted something more.

"Night, Aaron." Aphmau smiled, closing her eyes shut one last time before falling into the realm of sleep.

•••••••

Yeah, yeah, i know. this was a really short chapter, but it had a lot of Aarmau parts in it. I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter nonetheless because i loved writing it. tell me if there are any errors! the ironic thing about this chapter is that i haven't actually gotten around to watching black butler yet. should i? i've watched the first two episodes, but that was a long time ago.

i also wanted to warn you all that i probably won't update as much because school is starting back up tomorrow. i really wish this vacation could go on forever. it didn't start off too well. anyways, i hope you like this book so far! i honestly don't ship aarmau as much as i did when i first wrote this, but i like to think that the characters have changed into my own.

alright, i've finished ranting. anyways,
