You felt your body slowly start to wake up. The numbness washed away as you began to feel again. You noticed you were laying down on a soft bed. It felt familiar to you. You had on different clothes. They were very comfortable and warm. Everything was comfortably quiet. You could hear the soft sound of somebody breathing beside you. Then, it hit you. Wait...WHAT THE HELL!?
Your eyes opened in alarm and you screamed as you saw Connor there. Jerking backward you fell off the bed, taking the sheets with you. His eyes opened quickly and he sat up.
"(Y/n)!" He exclaimed, smiling at first. Then he realized you shocked and angered expression. "Oh, um, I can explain-"
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" You shouted. He looked surprised by your outburst.
"(Y/n), I-"
"You take me back here of all places, change my clothes, and then you SLEEP WITH ME IN MY OWN BED!?" You shouted. "I can not believe you-"
"(Y/n), shut up and listen to me!" He yelled. You were stunned as he grabbed onto your arms, forcing you to look him in the eye. "I saved your life last night! I watched you fall from the bridge! I was more scared in that moment than ever before in my life! I couldn't let you die like that." He said.
"Why did you bring me here? Why do you still care so much?" You asked, pulling away from his grip. "Why couldn't you have just let me die?" You asked him, crossing your arms and turning away.
"Because I couldn't bear living without you anymore." He said. His answer stunned you. "(Y/n), I'm sorry. I'm so beyond sorry for what I did. It kills me knowing I hurt you so much. It hurts so much knowing that I'm the reason you jumped last night." You began to think about what he was saying.
"Why would I be the cause of you hurting like that?" You asked. You felt him grab your arm and gently turn you around. He pulled your body toward his own so he could look right into your eyes. He brushed a few stray hairs out of your face before his hand drifted down to cup your cheek.
"Because I care about you more than anyone else." He said. You were stunned. "(Y/n), I've never met somebody like you. Before all this, you trusted me and treated me as your friend. I didn't understand why you did that for me. I understand you're an android, but you could've treated me like everybody else did, but you didn't. You stood up for me and you cared about me. I didn't understand why you did that at first. When you kissed me I was so confused, but I knew deep down that it made me happy. That night when you said the stars looked beautiful, I wasn't talking about the stars when I agreed with you. I was talking about your eyes. Now I realize that everything about you is beautiful and unique. I never want that to go away." He admitted, leaning in closer to you. "I love you, (Y/n)." He kissed you and you couldn't fight it anymore. You latched onto him, wrapping your arms around his neck as his traveled swiftly to your waist. He loves me. You smiled into the kiss. He really loves me. You kissed him with as much love as you could muster. Happy tears rolled down your face.
When you both pulled away, he smiled at you. You laughed breathlessly and held onto him even tighter. He hugged you, not saying a word as you both enjoyed the moment you had together. You then remembered how furious you'd been with him. You frowned, your happy tears turning into ones of regret. You buried your face in the side of his neck.
"I-I'm so sorry, Connor. I-I should've listened to you." You whimpered.
"You have no reason to be sorry, (Y/n). This was my fault. I understand why you were upset with me. I'm sorry I caused you so much pain. I'm sorry that I did this to you. I never want to hurt you ever again." He said meaningfully. You smiled softly with a light chuckle.
"I love you, Connor." You whispered. He smiled.
"I love you too, (Y/n)." He replied. You both held each other for a long time. Then, you felt dizzy. Your legs grew weak and you leaned against him. He noticed this. "(Y/n)? Are you alright?" He asked.
"C-Connor, my head's spinning." You said. He quickly helped you lay back down. You laid there, trusting him to care for you. He placed the back of his hand on your forehead.
"You aren't overheating, so that's one less problem to worry about." He said. "You're still damaged. You need to be fixed before you're system health falls again. Do you have anything here I could go get?" He asked. You thought of the basement, but you didn't want him to go down there. There were some blue blood packets in the fridge downstairs though.
"Downstairs in the fridge. There's a drawer with some blue blood packets." You breathed. He nodded. He kissed your forehead.
"I'll be right back, okay?" He said. You nodded slightly and he left the room. You ran a diagnostic on yourself.
Diagnostic: System health stable. Biocomponents damaged. Threat of malfunction. Survival probability: 65%
Only 65%? Am..am I still dying? The thought sent fear through you now. You didn't want to leave Connor. You were glad he saved you. You knew it would've crushed him if you had actually died. You didn't want to hurt him like that.
Soon, he came back. He had it in a cup for you. You smiled softly at him. He set it down and helped you sit up. He gave it to you and you drank it gratefully. He took to the cup afterward and set it down. A little bit of it dripped out of the side of your mouth. He wiped it away with his thumb. You relaxed as he kissed your cheek.
"Better?" He asked. You nodded. "We need to get you some new parts though. I'll take you to Jericho in a little while, okay?" He said.
"Okay." You agreed.
"Do you mind if I lay next to you?" He asked. You smiled and scooted over. He laid down and wrapped his arms around you. "Rest, okay? I'll take you to the others afterward. You're gonna be just fine. I promise, (Y/n)."
