Fallout X Reader Preferences

This is pretty much just what drives the boys nuts.

MacCready
MacCready has a strong distaste for people that don't cover their mouths when they sneeze and/or cough. Once in Goodneighbor, someone coughed without covering their mouth, and MacCready gave them such a dirty look, you were shocked they didn't turn to ice.

Hancock
He hates when people leave empty canisters of Jet (or a case of Mentats) around. He always thinks they have chems in them, and takes them where he wants to smoke, then finds out it's empty and has to go all the way back and get a new canister.

Nick
Nick absolutely loathes when people are late, or when he is late because he has to wait on someone. He finds it extremey irritating, and usually does things at the correct time, whether the person he was supposed to meet showed up or not.

Deacon
Deacon hates repetition. He's never worn the same outfit twice, for example. Preston told you of a settlement for the hundredth time, and Deacon almost lost his shit, telling the good to honest Minutemen to change it up every once in a while. Preston only changed by saying, "I have something new for you." Then telling you about a settlement. That upset Deacon more.

X6-88
X6-88 never openly admits it, but he hates people that walk slow, especially in front of him when he has places to be. There's an Institute scientist named Dan that he absolutely hates for that reason and that reason alone.

Preston
If you don't use manners, you're no pal of Garvey's. He held a door open for a group of people, and not one of them said thank you. They acted high and mighty as though they were supposed to have doors opened for them. Preston grumbled about it hours afterwords.

Sturges
Sturges doesn't like overly clean people, or overly messy people. He says that anyone who's too clean is sketchy, and anyone that's too messy is just lazy. He says just the right amount of junk is perfect for him.

Gage
Gage doesn't like when people don't understand him. He was chatting with someone the other day, and forgot the name of those old-world animals with the big ears and long nose and huge body. The raider looked at him like he was a psychopath, and it pissed him off.

Travis
Travis, being a decently positive person, hates when people do nothing but complain. He doesn't mind it, but when every sentence is constructed only to complain, especially with the Institute gone, he just doesn't understand why people can't be at least a little bit appreciative.

Danse
Seeing people argue over small stuff drives Danse crazy. One day, Maxson and a guard were arguing over a crack on the window. Maxson called it a scratch, and the guard called it an itch. The guard said windows can't scratch and Maxson said they can't itch. Danse settled it by calling it a crack and getting on with his day.

Maxson
Messiness. If you are unorganized, you're not his friend. He hates it when people look for things they 'lost', when they were supposed to leave it in a specific place to begin with.

Codsworth
Rudeness. He doesn't care too much about people using manners, but if you step on someone's foot and don't say sorry, it can make him upset. One time someone sneezed on him and he pretty much went crazy.

Butch
Butch doesn't like people touching his things, or leaving the door open when they leave a room. Normal stuff for a twenty year old man of his level of maturity.

Gob
Gob hates when people leave half a bottle of beer out. He thinks it's a waste and grumbles while pouring it down the sink. A single sip left is worse, and he thinks it's stupid that they couldn't down the tiny bit and get off.

Charon
Charon has something against meaningless tattoo's for some reason. You once asked a guy what his tattoo represented, and he said he got it just because it looked cool. You shrugged it off, but Charon nearly killed the guy. Not really sure why.

Arcade
This classy blonde doctor hates loud chewers. The two of you were taking and in his tent, and could hear the food smacking of the people in the next tent. He eventually got fed up with it and very passive-aggressively asked them to stop.

Boone
Buzzing noises. Mostly when he's trying to shoot. If he can hear the vibrating of power cords or a generator, he can't focus and almost always fucks up his shot. It irritates him, but he can't do anything about it, making it worse.

Raul
He's had to put up with everything at this point, so it takes a lot to upset him. If him and someone else have different opinions, but they refuse to even try to understand why he thinks what he thinks, it flusters him.

Benny
Benny doesn't like when people answer questions for him. You, him and Swank, all went out to eat, and a worker asked Benny how he was doing that night. Swank said he was doing fine, earning a cold glare from the man.

Swank
He hates losing things. He does it a lot, and ends up pissing himself off. He's lost twenty bucks, some poker chips, and one time, he scrambled around furiously for an hour because he couldn't find the sunglasses that were on his head.

Dean
Sticky hands. He hates when he cuts fruit or something to add as decoration on a margarita and it makes his fingers sticky afterwards. He'll practically scrub his skin off until the feeling is gone. Since he's a ghoul, you're always in fear he'll literally scrub his skin off.

Yes Man
Yes Man hates people who use seduction to get what they want. He dislikes the whole idea of it, but says it helps him know who to stay away from. He says, "Caps are currency. A reproduction system used for pleasure is not currency."

Victor
Victor hates when people bully people below them. He thinks every fight should be fair, and that the strong bullying the weak just wasn't right.

Ten of Spades
He hates when people mock his stutter. It embarrasses him and it's a "joke" he's heard way too many times for it to be even remotely "funny" anymore.

Vulpes
Accidently stepping in deep puddles. He wears leather boots, so doesn't mind some splashing, so when you told him to hop in a puddle, he did and it ended up going up to his thighs and you had to give him a hand once you stopped laughing. Hasn't jumped in another puddle since.

Joshua
Lying. Joshua likes to have all the information in his mind correct, and he wants it to stay that way. If you lie to him even once, he doesn't fully trust you ever again. Even if it's only about who stole the cookie from the cookie jar.

Follows-Chalk
He doesn't really hate anything. He's very tolerant. The only things that can make him mad is when people make him feel dumb, and even then he's more embarrassed than mad.

Ulysses
Ulysses hates people that fight losing battles. He thinks it's noble in a physical sense, but when you tried to fight someone verbally over a subject that you knew nothing about, he found it better to just forget about it.

Dr.O
He hated when people said his name wrong. He was so bored of correcting them, and tired because the people that were supposed to be his friends didn't even really know his name, after all the years they'd been cooped up together.

Dr. Klein
Any form of PDA makes him queasy. Sometimes Dala will bring someone around and just start making out with her, and Klein seems to be the only one that notices it.

Dr. Mobius
Nothing upsets him. You've tried everything, but nothing makes him tick because he's usually just too mellowed out to really give a shit about his surroundings.
