Fallout X Reader Preferences

This is how they watch your kid(s) when you're at work.

MacCready
MacCready just tries to keep Duncan occupied so he can work on his own stuff. He lets him listen to the radio or gives him a comic book or something, then leaves to do his own work, and comes back before you, saying he and Duncan had a grand time together. Duncan agrees.

Hancock
Hancock and your boy always try to do nice things for you. You'll come home and they'll both have drawn you cute little cards with old markers and crayons, or they'll have found flowers. That, or they cause trouble.

Nick
Nick teaches your daughter responsibility, and succeeds. Your home is always clean when you come home, and she's always getting acceptable grades in school. He's shockingly good at parenting.

Deacon
They were always getting into trouble. You'd lay down and have a water balloon splat under your pillow, and not know if it was your daughter or your husband who planted it there. It's okay. With a little bit of time, you turned them against one another in their own prank war.

X6-88
He tries to teach your son new things every day. Like how to cook something or how to shoot a different type of gun. He says that when your boy is older, he'll be able to go to the surface and run ops with you two as a family. You don't mind it.

Preston
Preston tells him stories and takes him places. He'll take your son to an old battle memorial he cleared out the day before, and tell him about history. Lucky for him, you're son is actually interested in all of it!

Sturges
Sturges has taught your son to fix anything and everything with anything and everything. Your son knows radios upside down and backward, and could fix a ladder with another ladder. It's all because of his fathers daily teachings, which he enjoys.

Gage
Gage takes your daughter around different parks, and let's her ride on the rides. If you're with them, she'll force him to ride with her while you operate it. Gage hates it. Most fast rides make him feel queasy.

Travis
Travis takes your daughter out places more because he doesn't want her to be a nervous wreck like he used to be. As it turns out, you're daughters super outgoing, and she soon became his radio partner, and everyone loved it!

Danse
Danse teaches your daughter independence. Because of it, she's a strong woman, who takes shit from no man. Once she told you and Danse that she liked girls, he joked that maybe he taught her to stay away from boys too well. You two didn't mind the news, though.

Maxson
Maxson teaches your son battle tactics and field work. Unfortunately, your son was more interested in his violin and his drawing skills. Maxson gave up on teaching him, and taught your daughter instead, who eventually became the next elder. Your son was happy that his father began to lay off.

Codsworth
Your son walks all over him. If he plays sick, Codsworth is absolutely trusting that he is. When you're gone, your son tricks his father into giving him sweets, and playing with him.

Butch
Butch teaches your son how to be tough, and not let his walls fall. Once, you came home to see them having a sword fight with their little bitty switchblades, which you had safety proofed by putting a thick layer of wax around the blades.

Gob
Gob tries to keep your daughter away from everyone, because he knows the world is a very bad place, because of the very bad people in it. Your daughter doesn't mind, but it can get on her nerves.

Charon
Charon taught your son how to shoot while you were gone. You didn't know about it until you mentioned to your son that he should learn to shoot, and handed him a pistol. Your son has yet to miss a target, thanks to his dad.

Arcade
Arcade teaches your daughter about medicinal technologies and science. She helped him in the lab, and eventually took up an important role in the Followers community.

Boone
Boone took your son everywhere he went because he was afraid to leave him alone. Whatever Boone did, your son did.

Raul
Most days he spent teaching your daughter. He knew how proper education should be taught, and he did his best. He taught her everything from how to hotwire something, to how to feed a dog properly.

Benny
Once your son turned seventeen, Benny took him to Gamora and left him there with a thousand caps. You came home, frantic about why Benny was there, but his son wasn't. You were pretty pissed off for a good while.

Swank
He was set on your daughter taking over the Tops, since Benny had no kids (hat he knew about). Benny already said that it was fine, so when your daughter reacher her teens, she started shadowing her father so she could run things smoothly.

Dean
Dean left your son to himself, and your boy was fine with that. He liked to wander the halls of the Madre, happy to grow up in such a safe haven.

Yes Man
Yes Man teaches your boy manners, and all things kind. There are worse things to teach a young boy, for sure. You once came home to a candlelit dinner from both your favorite boys.

Victor
You often come home to find Victor and your son sweeping broken glass under a rug or shooting holes in the ceiling. They tend to make trouble together.

Ten of Spades
When you come home, you find your husband and daughter having a tea party or playing with dolls or playing cowboy and cute stuff like that.

Vulpes
While your gone, he either takes your son to the arena, or to the Latin books. Your son hates being under constant practice, and having such high expectations.

Joshua
Joshua gives your son his bible, and makes him sit next to him and read it out loud. When you're gone, he becomes an English teacher of the Bible. He gives your son literary lessons and teaches him about symbolism.

Follows-Chalk
He teaches your son different things. He doesn't want his son to share his curiosity, so he leaves him nothing to be curious about. If he asks about guitars, Follows-Chalk will tell him about them so that he no longer wants to figure things out with the possibility of getting hurt.

Ulysses
Ulysses always braids your daughters hair and is teaching her the ways of his tribe. When you walk in on them having a historical debate, you stand at the door and listen to your daughter absolutely obliterate him.

Dr. O
He actually doesn't like being around your daughter. He's always afraid she'll take up his occupation, when he knows she's smarter than that.

Dr. Klein
He! Won't! Stop! Giving! Your! Daughter! Dead! Frogs! He just tosses them, and tells her to replace the heart with a raisin or something!

Dr. Mobius
He actually just sort of does his own thing. Your son will go off, and work with Klein, then come home and tell his father what he did that day. When you come home, you never even knew he left.
