Fallout X Reader Preferences

This is his reaction when you tell him you're pregnant.

MacCready
MacCready was overwhelmed with joy. The two of you had been trying for quite some time, and you finally got pregnant. Duncan was happy too, because he'd been complaining about how he was an only child and had no one to play with.

Hancock
Hancock looked at you with disbelief, and when you told him you were telling the truth, he panicked and asked you if you were ready for kids and where the two of you would settle down and how your kid would act and a whole bunch of other stuff. You calmed him down, and eventually, figured everything out.

Nick
Nick raised his brows and said that he didn't even think that it was possible, since his sperm was synthetic and your egg was human. It must have been compatible for some reason, but he was overjoyed, and told you that he wanted it to be a girl.

Deacon
Deacon laughed his ass off, jokingly saying what you would name your kid. When he saw you frown, he realized you were serious, and his smile faded. He muttered an, "Oh shit..." Before apologizing for getting you pregnant. You weren't upset or anything, but he felt bad because the two of you weren't even trying for kids. In the end, he was happy with the news.

He didn't think it possible, and when you told him, he just stared at you silently, asking if you were positive. You had some tests run, and you were. He clenched his jaw and thought for a second before asking you what it meant to be a good father and how he should go about doing so.

Preston
Preston smiled from ear to ear with joy. He hugged you and kissed your nose and stomach, already giving you name ideas for both genders and saying how he'd love his kid no matter what. He went on for a good thirty minutes before realizing he was rambling and just pulled you into another hug.

Sturges
Sturges let out a whistle, and asked if you were okay. He was more concerned about you than anything, and promised that he'd lay off his work to be by your side every step of the way.

Gage
Gage panicked. He said that a raider shouldn't be a father, and that a kid shouldn't grow up surrounded by blood-thirsty slave-owners. You mentioned that you could find a different household for your kid, and he immediately said no, and that he wanted to raise your kid with you, but wasn't sure how.

Travis
Travis freaked out. He screeched about how he didn't know how to be a father and how he was too young and whatnot. You quietly said that he was the average age for when a man becomes a dad, and he calmed down a little too fast, suddenly okay with everything.

Danse
Danse was scared. He was scared to touch you in case of hurting the baby, and he was scared about the baby's health. Would they be a synth or would they be a human? It wracked his brain and he worried over it too much.

Maxson
He was relived. You two had been trying with no results, so when you told him, he pulled you into a hug. He was ecstatic to have his family name passed down and it's legacy continued.

Codsworth
He had no earthly idea what to say or do. The first thing he did was panic because he thought he was unfit to be a father, since he would know about as much as the kid when it was born.

Butch
You and Butch were careful in your teens, and you didn't get pregnant until the two of you knew you were ready for kids. Once you told him the news, he smiled and began talking about your kids future as a young Tunnel Snake, and how tough your kid would be.

Gob
Gob couldn't wait to tell Carol at the Underworld. The two of you plane d a trip immediately, before your pregnancy got too serious, and went the next week. Carol was overjoyed, and offered you both a free living space until the kid was born.

Charon
Charon was afraid. He wasn't one to settle down, but once you told him the news, he looked away quietly, and figured it might be time. The two of you spent the rest of he night trying to decide on a place to live.

Arcade
Arcade was concerned about how the procedure would be done, and kissed you before bolting out to talk to Julie about which of the Followers knew how to handle childbirth.

Boone
Boone had mixed feelings. On one hand, he was happy to finally have a kid with his spouse, but on the other hand, it reminded him of Carla, and how he never got to raise her kid. He wasn't sure if your kid would be welcomed, or whether they would be a bad reminder of what could've been.

Raul
You told him at dinner, and he nearly died from choking on his food. He asked how the hell that was possible, and you shrugged. He dealt with it though, and figured he had plenty of experience, and praying that he had enough to raise a kid.

Benny
Benny frowned. He didn't mind having a kid, and an heir to the Tops throne. He was just upset that you couldn't drink or smoke with him for nine more months. He asked if you could still have sex, and when he got the answer, he sighed and face planted on his desk. At least you could still gamble.

Swank
He was overwhelmed with joy. He hugged you immediately and peppered you in kisses, making you giggle as he thanked you for making him a father.

Dean
Dean laughed and pulled you into a hug, saying that maybe you're kid would have your looks and his talent. You said that it would be ideal, and he began worrying about your kid not having anyone to play with in the Madre, and how they would be alone once you two moved on. You told him you'd get there when you'd get there.

Yes Man
He began crying and pulled you into a hug. He later admitted that in that moment, he was the happiest he'd ever been. That, and the day your kid was actually born.

Victor
Victor ran out. Like, a full on sprint. You sat there for a while before he came back, taking his hat off and putting it to his chest, kissing your knuckles and saying that he just told all of Goodsprings the news. He kissed you and began rushing into names and gender and whatnot.

Ten of Spades
He got too protective. He never let you do field work with him, even before starting to show. He was happy hough because of the paternity leave that he got because of it. You spent the whole time looking for clothes and whatnot, and you had fun doing so.

Vulpes
He was happy, but wouldn't admit it. If it were a girl, he'd be sort of hurt, but if it were a boy... he was giddy just at the thought of having a boy grow up in the Legion!

Joshua
Joshua recited a bible passage about motherhood, then said that he knew of some tribals who could help because they were midwives, and knew how to deliver children.

Follows-Chalk
He immediately started planning. He came up with names for a boy and a girl, figured out who's last name they would take up, and tried his best to prepare himself.

Ulysses
He didn't know how to react, and asked you to settle down with him somewhere just so you could raise your kid somewhere other than the Divide. Apparently he had a small abandoned farm out in the Mojave somewhere.

Dr. O
He went through numerous stages in four seconds. He was ecstatic, then worried, then scared, then guilty, then he started planning.

Dr. Klein
He laughed and said that that was impossible because he said that he did an experiment that made you and him both sterile. The experiment apparently only worked for a small amount of time, and he was worried about you dealing with pregnancy, and his coworkers making an impression on his kid.

Dr. Mobius
He just said, "Oh shit, that's wack." And you elbowed him gently, saying that this was important. He was well aware of that, just doesn't know how to handle literally anything.
