This is how they die.

MacCready
He actually got to a decent age, and so did you. He eventually died when you guys got ambushed in your home by some Gunners who parents couldn't let a grudge go.

Hancock
He died because he's an idiot. He started a fight he couldn't finish, and a whole bunch of guys ganged up on him.

Nick
He died when he was out. Someone eventually outsmarted him, and caught him off guard. He was locked in a freezer and when you found him, too many of his systems were so badly damaged, he couldn't be "fixed". It broke you.

Deacon
You were never sure of Deacon's death. He just disappeared one day and never came back. You eventually got a formal letter confirming his death.

X6-88
The scientists accidentally "messed up" when working with him. They eventually fixed his memory chip into another synth who was an exact look alike. It was like he never left.

Preston
Preston was at a settlement when it got attacked. He immediately shielded a young girl near him. She lived while he took three bullets.

Sturges
He was murdered. You immediately put Nick on the case and gave his killer hell. The guy didn't even have a motive. He just "felt like it".

Gage
Nisha killed him. Gage made a bet with her, then didn't pay up. You took it to heart and got Nisha back by killing all of her men one by one.

Travis
Someone got drunk at Vadim's bar and opened fire. Travis and Yefim were the only casualties, but three other people were injured. You were one of them.

Danse
Maxson killed him. He found out Danse was a synth, and got his way, as he always did. Maxson didn't feel remorse.

Maxson
Danse killed him. At the bunker when Maxson confronted him, Danse challenged his authority as Elder, and killed him in a fair fight. It haunted Danse.

Codsworth
Someone told him to stick a fork in a toaster. He was a synth, so he pretty much went boom.

Butch
Him and another guy would meet up once a week and beat the shit out of each other. No hard feelings, it was just to blow off steam. The next time he went, the guy brought some backup, and they beat him to death.

Gob
A drunk guy, racist towards ghouls, started talking shit. Gob stayed silent and the drunk dude 'accidentally' stabbed him. Two times plus a slash. No one bothered to get Gob to a doctor. They let him die and you never forgave them for it.

Charon
You and Charon died side by side. You had a Bonnie and Clyde relationship, so that could only be expected. You two were going to collect pay, and got ambushed by what could only be fifty men with shotguns.

Arcade
He got sick. He got sick and couldn't find a cure no matter how hard he tried. It broke your heart.

Boone
It was after you two had a serious fight. He didn't care whether he lived or died and ran into a Legion camp, firing bullet after bullet until a machete ripped his stomach apart.

Raul
Age. He died peacefully, and you were happy he didn't die any other way, and you were content knowing he was with his family, thought you'd miss him.

Benny
A courier came back. Shot him in the head from across the casino, never letting him get a word in. It was a closed casket funeral.

Swank
He asked someone to give him their weapons, like he does everyone that comes in. The man told him to take his weapons, then stabbed him.

Dean
Lung issues. It took over him in the Madre and there was nothing you could do to stop it because there was nothing to cure anything there. There were only cough drops and band aids.

Yes Man
He was murdered. He had recently been to a mechanic, who had slowly been messing him up each time he visited. The next morning he wouldn't budge no matter what, and it was easy to put the pieces together.

Victor
That idiot ended up accidentally shooting himself in the leg. You took him to a doctor, and apparently anesthetic is deadly to synths.

Ten of Spades
He died with honor out on the field. He was given a proper burial and everyone remembered him in a good way, and you were proud, because you knew it was how he wanted to go.

Vulpes
You never knew how he died. One day you got a formal letter stating his death and broke down in tears. Everyone refused to tell you how he died for some reason, and whenever you asked, it would make heartless legion soldiers sick to their stomachs in memory of what happened.

Joshua
He died to save some of the Dead Horses. Salt-Upon-Wounds told him that they could meet up. Daniel was there when it all happened, and told you every detail about how the bastard lied.

Follows-Chalk
A White-Legs member gave him an offer. He'd either kill Follows-Chalk, or two children. He, of course, stepped up, and saved two lives. They named a cave after him and used it as a safe place for children.

Ulysses
He died from a sickness in his heart. Something happened, and he wasn't really himself lately. You never confirmed what happened, but your heart broke.

Dr. O
He was murdered. Someone pushed him from the top of the Dome, and he fell to his death. You tried no to think about the fear he must have felt.

Dr. Klein
Heart attack. He was so stressed and his pulse was screaming, and you weren't quite sure what could have been done to prevent it.

Dr. Mobius
Accidental overdose. You knew it was accidental because you were with him. He took the same amount as always, and popped one more because why not. Who knew one extra pill could have such an effect.
