Fallout X Reader Preferences

This one is, long story short, how he is around kids.

MacCready
MacCready has a respect for kids in the Commonwealth, because he said being a kid in the Wasteland was tough, but that the Commonwealth was tougher.

Hancock
Hancock's goal is to make any child he comes across laugh. He'll make faces or juggle or do whatever it takes. There's no child he hasn't made laugh.

Nick
Nick only spoke to kids when investigating, but he knows they have fragile, unmolded minds, so he tries not to leave too much of an impact, but treats them with respect.

Deacon
Deacon plays guessing games with kids. They guess each other's names, favorite colors, best friends, and everything else. Naturally, Deacon always gives them false advice. He also tells them stories about your adventures together, which everyone seems to get a kick out of.

X6-88
He sees them as inferior, and easy to manipulate. He doesn't talk to them unless he's forced because he says they are a waste of his time, and in most cases, they are.

Preston
Preston is bent up on teaching kids new things. He says you should learn something new every day, and tries to make an impact on kids lives the way the Minutemen impacted his.

Sturges
Sturges doesn't mind kids, but they usually find him boring and don't bother with him. You find it odd, seeing as he's the most interesting person you know.

Gage
Gage is intimidating to kids, but there was a little girl once, and she was lost. She must have touched some place in his heart because he hoisted her up on his shoulders and demanded we take her home. We did, obviously.

Travis
Travis is nervous kids won't like him, so ends up trying too hard. Overall, he's pretty good at handling them.

Danse
Danse treats children as civilians. He says it's never too late for them to learn about the Brotherhood, and tries to convert them almost immediately. They think he's cool just because he's a soldier.

Maxson
He treats children as equals, rather than younger and smaller. Kids like it because it makes them feel important, and he seems to know that.

Codsworth
He forgets that they have feelings, and treats them like pets. He knows how to feed them, but not really how to be there for them.

Butch
Butch thinks kids are hilarious. He's really immature around them, however. He'll tell them to spell 'attic' or 'icup' or whatever else he has on his mind. He gets a kick out of it.

Gob
Gob thinks kids are interesting. He's jealous of their creativity and level of innocence, and claims his childhood was the best part of his life.

Charon
Charon doesn't give a shit about adults, or kids.

Arcade
Arcade is very neutral towards children. He'll help them if they are ill, and usually not charge them. He's kinder to them than he is to adults, but even then, that's neutral.

Boone
Boone always wanted a kid with his wife, and was close to having one. To him, kids are just an awful reminder, so he tends to avoid them whenever possible.

Raul
He had siblings when growing up, and understands what it's like to have a tough childhood. He usually keeps candy on him to give to kids. It's usually mints, but they still take it. He's like a grandma.

Benny
Benny is an awful influence on little ones. You can't leave him alone with a kid for two seconds or he'll give them a gun, cigars, alcohol, or the vast knowledge he has of gambling.

Swank
Swank actually likes kids, and they like him. He's very polite, and loves giving them piggy back rides or a free deck of cards.

Dean
He's never really been around younger kids enough to know them, but he despises teenagers. Apparently the ones from his day didn't listen to his style of music.

Yes Man
Yes Man turns into an absolute mess. It's like he's seeing a puppy! He'll run up to them, ask them their name and start a conversation with them. The parents usually have places to be, and seeing as Vegas is Vegas, they just kind of leave their child with him and come back whenever.

Victor
Little kids like mocking Victor's southern accent, and he'll give them piggy back rides to and fro. He'll teach them anything they want to know, even if that means teaching them how to down a shot or shoot a gun.

Ten of Spades
He is nervous. He knows that kids these days can be cruel, and keeps his mouth shut because he isn't too fond of being teased.

Vulpes
In his opinion, children are too much work. He thinks some of them have potential, but otherwise, he raises his nose in disgust when he sees a mother and child. Especially if that child is a female.

Joshua
Joshua isn't usually around kids, seeing as he's active at night. He'll occasionally get roped into putting little night owls to bed, telling them a story or reading them the Bible to woo them into rest.

Follows-Chalk
He tends to act childish, but he's very good at teaching children things, and letting them have fun at the same time. Most adults can't do that.

Ulysses
Ulysses knows that the youth is the future, and tries to do what he knows to be best. He tries to make a impact that will change their life for the better, but you two don't really see many kids roaming the Divide, so...

Dr.O
He doesn't like kids. He thinks they're snotty and overdramatic. He's dramatic too, but it's only okay when he is.

Dr. Klein
The only children he's encountered were Commie kids, and they were sent to camps. He doesn't really know how he'd be around any other children.

Dr. Mobius
His thoughts are childish, so when a kid talks about the moon, he talks about spaceships and later, dinosaurs. He's very good at holding a conversation with them.
