This is their reaction when you tell them you want to live outside of your home. (Outside of the Commonwealth/Wasteland/Mojave.)

MacCready
He refused. You, him, and Duncan, were finally at a resting state, and he wasn't gonna jump to the odds of losing that. Sanctuary was the safest place he'd been since his childhood, and he planned on staying there.

Hancock
He frowned, and said that he loved you, but that he also loved Goodneighbor. He was the Mayor, and said he had done enough running from his life.

Nick
Nick didn't know what to think. With moving, there's a chance that people will react badly to synths, and that he won't be able to find a job and provide for you.

Deacon
His job was to travel, and he didn't really mind moving away as long as he could come back to the Commonwealth every now and then to check in with his fellow Railroad members.

X6-88
He said he was not allowed to live outside the Institute. When the Institute mysteriously blew up, however, he let you take the reigns on where you would live, because you knew better than he did.

Preston
He put his foot down and said no. He had worked hard to bring the Minutemen back, and without him, there was a large chance of them crumbling away again, then the 'Wealth would be back at square one.

Sturges
He said that it was a little soon for him to want to really settle down like that, but that he loved the thought. After talking about it, you both saved up money to go to the Mojave, because he heard that there were still good motorcycles around there somewhere.

Gage
He laughed and asked if you were serious. You held your ground and eventually a fight broke out. You wanted to go, and Gage wanted to know why. Nuka-World had all the food, supplies, and caps a person could ever want. You eventually came to an agreement and moved, but took some Raider gang-members with you to seize more territory for yourselves.

Travis
He got nervous and said that the Mojave and the Wasteland already had radios. He would be out of a job and he was anti-social and afraid of the world. You eventually wondered what the hell you were thinking, and agreed to stay in Diamond City with him.

Danse
Well, you brought the idea up when he was still in the Brotherhood, and his answer was a solid no. After the whole "wow-look-that-guy-is-a-synth-and-now-we-hate-him"incident, he was more than happy to move back to the Wasteland with you.

Maxson
He said no. In his eyes, the Brotherhood failed in the Mojave, and were weak in the Wasteland. In the Commonwealth, they had purpose, and if the Elder moved, so did all his men.

Codsworth
He was perfectly fine with it, since he really didn't have any friends in the Commonwealth. Plus, after 200-something years, the scenery gets boring. He was more worried about the trip than anything.

Butch
He was more than happy to go out and potentially meet more people for his gang. He said he heard about some other gangs, and was more than excited to go out and meet them. (He also said that he had a relative that owned a casino in New Vegas. He said he had done some searching without you knowing, but that the guy might also be his father.)

Gob
He didn't care, but he didn't want to move insanely far. He still would like to make occasional visits to the Underworld to see Carol and Greta, so you guys came to an agreement and moved not too far from there, but far enough to make a considerable difference.

Charon
You guys never had one fixed home, and were always moving fro one place to the next. Neither of you cared where you went, or knew. You were happy together, and you would stay that way.

Arcade
He didn't really know. The Enclave was hated in some places, and he didn't want to risk his past being discovered. Plus, he had friends amongst the Followers and was liked around Freeside, so he really preferred to stay.

Boone
He didn't really care. He would be bummed about losing Legion blood, but at the same time, he would be able to escape a place that gave him bad memories. You eventually moved.

Raul
He loved your shared home. There's no where he'd rather be, and traveling isn't his thing. Not to mention things were just starting to calm. He thought you two had finally settled down.

Benny
Benny laughed, and said that he'd get you a private little getaway cabin somewhere. Just something where you and him could run off to maybe one a month. Benny had become the king of New Vegas, though, and he couldn't just let that go.

Swank
He flat out refused. He said that the Tops was his home, and that the Strip was a one-of-a-kind place. Mostly because of the culture of stripping, drinking, smoking, and gambling.

Dean
He asked where you two would move, since the Madre was the only safe place in a hundred mile radius. You both eventually got a map and laid out a plan, then you moved all the way to a place called Zion.

Yes Man
You didn't ask him. He wasn't the fighting type, and getting him out that long would be the death of you both. You decided staying was for the best, and in the long run, it was.

Victor
It wan't much, but you both agreed to move. He and Doc wrote to each other, having their mail delivered to and from by a Courier. So long as he could keep in contact with his friends, he didn't really care where you took him.

Ten of Spades
You were both in First Recon, so moving was regular. You'd move all the way across the Mojave for missions, and you both loved traveling together. You two saw no need to try to move far away and settle down just yet. Later though, maybe.

Vulpes
He said when he was done doing his work for Caesar, that he'd love to move, because he was well aware that many people in the Mojave wanted his head on a plate. He agreed that settling down and cutting off ties with the Legion after Hoover Dam would be safe for him and you both.

Joshua
You didn't ask because you knew what he'd say. First of all, he probably would be super uncomfortable walking for so long in the sun. Second of all, the tribals needed him. Third of all, Zion had nice food, and clean water, so moving anywhere else would lead to disappointment.

Follows-Chalk
He was all about moving out of Zion. He was excited to learn more about the outside world, and to live there made him dizzy with joy.

Ulysses
It took some convincing, but he agreed. After what happened at The Divide, he found himself attached to the place. The thought of moving never once came to his mind, but after talking him through it, he agreed, and you guys moved out to a small little place in the middle of nowhere.

Dr. O
He was too afraid to live anywhere else. All the scientists were hated, and moving somewhere less safe made him scared at what people might try to do to him or you.

Dr. Klein
He said that if you could figure out how to take the entire Dome with you guys, then sure, he wouldn't mind. But seeing as that was impossible, you two stayed put.

Dr. Mobius
He didn't really care, but he said it depended on where you moved. He wanted somewhere with junkies and science, so you told him about a Boston settlement called Goodneighbor.
