~Four Months Later (Sorry for the time jump; the story was starting to drag; and yes the coronavirus is still going on, but it's not as serious)~
Devin was just getting off the phone with his real estate agent about the pricing for the condo. Lately, he's been thinking about getting a bigger place for him, Bruno, and, hopefully, Melanie. They've now been together for a little over 6 months, and they've been so happy.
Speaking of Melanie, she went back to her apartment a couple weeks ago. The quarantine on her building was lifted about a month ago. Her landlord actually threatened to declare her apartment vacant if she didn't go back, and he would put it up for rent-with her furniture and all. So, Devin reluctantly agreed to her going back.
He sighs as he puts his phone down. Selling a place was stressful, especially if the place was going for about $2 Million, and no one wanted to get a condo for that much. But it was all gonna be worth it. He was actually gonna ask Melanie to move in with him. He's been thinking about his future with her, and he gets so excited to see what unfolds.
He jumps and snaps out of his thoughts when he hears his door bust open. Bruno starts barking like crazy as walks to the front door, and Devin scolds him. "Bruno, no!" he snaps. He walks over to the doorway and sees Schneider petting him. "Wassup, Schneider?" he greets.
They go in for a bro-hug. "Hey, buddy," Schneider replies. "How's house hunting going?" They start walking to the living room area.
Devin sighs, stressfully. "It's hard," he says. "I just can't find the right one."
Schneider starts smiling. "Have you asked Melanie to move in with you, yet?" he asks.
Devin takes a deep breath as a smile starts forming on his face. "No, but I am asking her later," he replies. "I'm so nervous, bruh."
Schneider pats his arm. "Don't be, alright? You guys are meant to be, and she'll say yes."
Devin nods at his words. "Yeah, nothing to worry about." He takes another deep breath. "I also wanna give her something." He pulls a black box out of his pocket.
Schneider gives him a look. "You're proposing, already?"
Devin looks at him, flabbergasted. "No!" Schneider sighs in relief. Devin opens the box. "It's a promise ring. I was gonna give it to her tonight when I go to her apartment for dinner." He wasn't proposing just yet.
Schneider takes the box out of his hand. "Wow, this is nice." Devin nods. "She'll love it." He hands him back the box.
Devin nods. "I hope so." He closes the box and puts it in his pocket.
"Oh, yeah, I came up here to tell you something." Schneider takes his phone out. "So, I own this gated community, and one person just moved out. It's completely new and everything." He pulls up the house that was up for sale. "I was hoping that you and Melanie would look at it."
Devin looks at the house and smiles. "This is great."
Schneider gets more excited. "And, get this- it's not too far from UofA, so Melanie won't have a far commute."
Devin's smile gets even bigger. "This is perfect. I'll send this to my agent."
Schneider sends him the address. "Alright, sounds good."
Devin sends his real estate agent the address to have him look at it. He gets a text from Melanie and smiles.

Devin puts his phone down and looks at Schneider who was playing with his dog. "So, how are you and Avery?" he asks.
