Hey, guys. So, lately there has been a lot going on in the media. I really didn't wanna talk about it until I educated myself, so here I am.
As we all know, on May 25th, George Floyd was murdered my Minneapolis police. The police officers involved are now being charged, and Derek Chauvin is being charged with murder in the second degree. Justice is going to be served for George Floyd. He was wrongfully murdered and deserves justice.
My condolences to his family, especially his daughter. What broke my heart the most was she said "Daddy changed the world."
What the fuck is wrong with the police? The police system is laid out perfectly for officers to get away with murder. We need change.
We live in a country where the black community is still being racially profiled. They're being wrongfully killed in the hands of the police and the public, and for what? For buying some skittles? For being accused of committing fraud? For holding a cell phone because it "looked like a gun"? For going on a jog?
This is the injustice we live in. We have to stand with our people. We have to make our voices heard. We stand with every single person of color who has been racially profiled. We stand with every single life that has been taken away by the hands of the police. We may look different to each other, but we are all one voice.
I salute all the protesters out there fighting for what they believe in. We all stand as one, we speak as one.
