Chapter-1 The beginning

Saish couldn't understand what had gone wrong in their perfectly planned and executed plan, seeing him in that condition. He wondered if Nishan got caught in the process of escaping their dorm. "What's wrong? Why are you panting like you ran eight miles, our school is just a few houses away."

Nishan gave a grimaced look and replied "That idiot hasn't changed a bit in all these days. He is still the same nose-poking person. I barely escaped him."

Rest all tried to hold their laugh, pressing their lips together as strongly as they could. It was funny. Just imagining the situation made them want to laugh till they cried.

"Great job, keep it up" Saish patted him twice. And everyone burst out laughing.

Mona's mom didn't get what they were talking about so she looked at Mona and raised her brow. Mona whispered, "They are talking about the warden."

"Oo" Swala nodded.

Once again, the door burst open. It was Mona's dad this time. With a whole bag of snacks. Mona rushed to her father, took the bag and put it down before asking, "Where were you, Dad? I couldn't find you from the morning."

"I went to get you some snacks, Ammu " her dad replied with a vibrant smile on his face.

Mona gazed at him in disbelief.

"What?" asked her dad.

She did not reply. She waited for her dad to realise. Her dad cluelessly looked at her. "Daddy, I already told you not to get them, didn't I?" Mona ended up answering her dad's question.

"You told me? When?"

Mona let out a sigh "When you were on call yesterday."😮‍💨

Mona's dad stared at her silently for a few seconds and exclaimed, "How can I hear you when I am on a call?"

"Why did you nod your head when you didn't hear me?!" Mona lashed out with a pout of announce. The same argument went on for a while, till Mona's mom intervened and shut them up with a dangerous smile.

That was when Mona's father realized all the kids were there too. He immediately reacted, "Hey, all the little devils are here. Good to see you all after a long time."

The kids greeted him back one after the other.

Sunaira looked at the clock in the hallway and gasped realising it was high time. "Umm, I think we should leave now."

Hearing that, Mona's dad had a gush of fretting take over him regarding their safety. "Don't get yourself into trouble. Well, if you do, just give me a call."

Mona nodded her head vigorously " I will be fine, Dad, it's just four hours away."

It was her first time going somewhere without any one of the adults. They had to give her permission as she threw a huge fit, saying they were not letting her enjoy her teenage life and were caging her up.

In this modern world, anything is possible in the blink of an eye. They can barely control what's going on around them and to them. It became their normal tendency to overprotect their daughter.

But they couldn't bring themselves to stop her from living life as she pleases, knowing how important the youth years are for one's growth. They did all they could. Now, it was time they let her deal with the spin of life her way.

"Be safe, don't get hurt, all of you", Mona's mom said and asked them to get going, as it was getting late.

They hopped into the topless jeep like a storm hitting the shore. Saish took the driver's seat with Nishan as a guide for the route. The three girls sat behind, waving bye to Mona's parents, expecting a memorable journey ahead.
