"WHAT?!" again a reply in sync. Both Saish and Jesvi must have been twins in their last life. There is no way they can be this similar.

"Come on, guys. I just said a fever, not appendicitis," Mona sassed. 🤷‍♀️

"Shut up" Saying this, Jesvi raised her hand and placed it on Mona's forehead. "Your temperature is normal"

"I just took the tablet so"

"You should have stayed at home", Saish said, earning a no from Mona and a glare from Jesvi.

Mona saying no was understandable, but Jesvi glaringly didn't fit in, so Saish asked, "What?"

"If she wasn't coming today, she should inform me prior so that I can do some drama and take leave too. If she suddenly skips school, what about me? You can NOT ask me to jump into the well enthusiastically, classes without her? No" Jesvi shook her head in slow motion, placing her statement. "But it's not like I don't care about your health. I will take care of you. Let's go sleep in the nurse's office, Ok?" Jesvi said after pausing for a while.

Mona chuckled and squeezed her cheeks " Who said they are gonna allow you to stay with me?"

"Who said I am going to ask permission?"

Mona laughed out loud. "That's my girl, I am proud of you. But I am fine right now. Let's go when I am not able to take it anymore."

"You sure?"

"Yup"

Jesvi nodded and Saish gave them an unpleased, unimpressed look. In this discussion, they forgot that a few people were still standing outside the gate waiting for permission to get inside.

When Mona realised that, "Uh- they are waiting. Thank you for filling me in. I love you, muh", she blew a flying kiss to Jesvi.

"You are most welcome baby. I am going to the canteen. Come quick," Jesvi replied and left.

Mona and Saish looked at each other one last time before going back to their respective positions. As their Principal ordered them, they did the checking a bit more strictly.

"Your bow is not neatly tied. Please redo it and come back", Mona said to a girl.

Now that was vexing, both for the students and for the ones checking. It was not in their hands to make decisions. If they didn't do it, the principal herself would do it, and when she does it, that would be on a completely different, large scale. Punishments, fines, suspensions and many more.

Saish checked the sound system one last time before setting the mike and giving it to Mona. It was time and everyone was aligned.

"Guys, attention please. I request all the eleventh and twelfth students to stay back in the ground after the assembly. We have an announcement to make. Thank you" Mona spoke in the mike.

Their assembly started. Saish eyes never once left the sight of Mona. Not because she looked beautiful today, she looks stunning always but because he wasn't sure about her condition. Was her fever high? Was she ok? 🙁

As said already everyone who was in 11 and 12 stayed back. Mona was going up the stage to announce the most unfortunate news for students but Saish snatched the mike from her hand and walked past her.

"I will, you take rest"

Saish just looked at her for a second and walked off. Mona translated it to, 'Can you please listen to me for once?' in her head. It's Saish's language. Only they could decode it. Nishan and Mona. She stayed still on the step.
