Mona walked more and more into the cave. Not quite realising her every move, even her breaths, were being observed. Her eyes searched for possible threats or any signs of a living being.
She met nothing. By the amount of distance she covered, she must have been near the end, but still, there was nothing. Not even ribcages or any remains of food. Last of all, there are no footprints. It only made her nerves more frantic.
"Doesn't this dinosaur eat anything? How come there are no signs of it? I expected blood drippings and ribcages all over this place" She mumbled to herself.
She went further in. Only to stay rooted in her place, seeing a big portrait of a beautiful woman in the arms of a strong, muscular man who looked like he had stepped straight out of the pages of a history textbook. They were undoubtedly Saviours of this planet based on their attire. But she never saw them in the chain of pictures the main hall of the planet had of every Saviour that served this planet.
"They look magnificent" She takes tiny steps towards the portrait which fills 3/4 of the wall that is more than thirty-five feet high. Her lips parted, noting all the minute details.
She reached out for it. But before her finger could touch the painting, she felt someone ready to tackle her to the ground. She swiftly dodged, and even so, she couldn't escape a tiny nick from the sharp-edged nails.
Mona's eyes widened as her eyes met a dark red flaming pair. The size of the creature was massive. To her absolute horror, it was ready to tear her flesh apart. It was raging with anger and caution.
"I- I am no harm. I am the new Saviour of this planet. I am called Purple. I just came to check as I was being called" she hurriedly said. 😧
The beast roared, shaking the pillars of the cave.
Saish slipped on his feet. "Mona!". He placed his hand on the glass wall and fisted his hand on it. "Purple, please don't do this to me. Come back", he begged her. Slowly sinking to his knees in front of the cave.
Adrenaline rushed in her veins. "I AM NOT HEAR TO HARM YOU. DON'T LET ME REPEAT MY WORDS. OBEY!" Mona's authoritative voice reverberated through the cave. The girl who stammered a second ago was long gone, replaced by the Queen of this planet, powerful and filled with vigour. If there was one thing she learned from being the Saviour, it's don't cower in any circumstances. Face it head-on.
The dinosaur was still adamant. It jumped on her.
Mona's eyes flared purple. And in no time, countless mirages are formed around the cave. She filled the whole room. Creating an illusion of uncountable, infinite Mona's. Having the same expression, doing the same thing. The beast was confused and wasn't sure which one was the real one.
It slowed down, before throwing its tail everywhere, trying to find the real Mona. If it's a mirage they disappeared.
It tried for a while. As the method didn't work, it opened its mouth to shoot something. Mona expected it to be fire, but the ice that left its mouth took her by surprise. The dinosaur spun around, freezing everything in its way. Mona stood there still, till the ice beam came her way, and then she did her move. She made a mirror in front of her which reflected the ice to its creator. The dinosaur flew, escaping most of it, but the tip of its tail got iced. 🪞 It fell to the floor.
Mona caged it using her power. The dinosaur grunted. It headbutted the walls numerous times, trying to break free.
Mona made a baseball bat as she landed a hit on its head trying to bring it back to his senses.
The dinosaur's red eyes turned blue. Which made it look like a vulnerable tiny creature. It stayed in its place and kept staring at Mona. No movements. No blinking either.
