'He is trying to kill me with a sudden PDA? Why is it so hot here? Do I have a fever? No, I don't. My heart is beating too fast. Will I die? Right now? Right here? Nooooo, I can't die. I didn't even get my first kiss from this hulk.' 😨

"PURPLE!"

"What? What happened, did a dragon attack us? Where?"

Heavy sigh. "I have been calling you for a while now. Is something wrong Purple?"

"No. No. What can be wrong, nothing. I am completely fine" Mona kept rambling. Now, who will tell Saish that she was shy and was being daydreamed about them? "What is it?" She calmed down a little and freed her hand from him before asking. Holding wrists was ok. Holding hands was ok too. But interlocking fingers? OMG.

Saish was disappointed when she undid their linked hands but didn't show it. The last thing he wanted was to make her uncomfortable around him.

"Put your hand on the book Mona. Let's seek the help we came for," he said, resigned.

'Mona? It's been a century since he called me by my name......Is he pissed because I wasn't focused? Shit. Come on, Mona, how can you forget this person is a freak for perfection?' Mona beat herself internally.

She placed her hand on the book. Saish followed and placed his hand on the book.

"We want to know about the dissipation of power", they synchronized.

Moments later, images of little keystones popped into their mind. They got separated from the main mother keystones. All they had to do was pick the power they wanted to give and to whom they wanted to give and it will be done. The little keystones will get integrated with the creature they chose.🔸️

"Ok. We need to call for auditions then"  Mona concluded.

"Selections is the right word to use", Saish deadpanned.

Mona rolled her eyes and huffed out of frustration "You understood the point anyways. Why do you have to focus on the least important thing in the sentence I said when you have more important things to focus on?" 🤨

Saish chuckled.

"Stop laughing" Mona frowned deepened.

He raised his hands in surrender. And put in his best efforts to control the laugh. But failed miserably, when her cheeks puffed up in anger. She just stomped her foot and left the place folding her hands. He is the only one who gets to see this side of her and he knows it. Even Jesvi and Sunaira don't get to see this spoiled goofy side of her. Her tantrums are reserved only for him. Rarely seen but always for him.

"I wish your cheeks were always this puffed. It would be good to pinch them" Saish joined her footsteps.

She widened her eyes and she hit his biceps. Earning herself another laugh come chuckle from Saish. "Stop. Teasing. Me." Her cheeks turned bright crimson.

He halted.

The moment she realised he wasn't walking with her, she stopped too. "What happened?" He didn't answer her. He closed the gap between them in one long stride.

He came to a standstill just a few inches from her. His hot breath brushed over her, sending electric currents down her spine. His eyes glowed with adoration and mischief.

He raised his hand and squeezed her cheeks. Making her lips turn pouty. Saish inhaled sharply at the site. And cracked a smile. His touch, light, feather-light, grazed the corners of her lips before letting her go and walking away.

Mona stood there frozen. Her heartbeat spiked up to a number that wasn't considered under normal limits. Her breaths shallowed. "I will surely die due to tachycardia" she muttered under her breath.
