Saish popped open his eyes. Mouth wide gasping for air. A drenched bed, water dripping, bottle in Nishan's hand with a smirk on his face were all he could see. "Do you have a death wish?" Saish yelled.

"No, dumbhead. Let's go have dinner. The canteen will be closed", Nishan shouted back.😂

"I. Don't. Want. To. EAT" Saish pressed every word. "Hurry up, they must be waiting"

"Did you go on a date?"

"What?" Saish threw a disgusted look.

"It doesn't make sense. You didn't eat anything in the afternoon. Unless you betrayed me and went out to eat, there is no possible explanation for you not wanting to have food."

Saish sighed in disbelief. Nishan can be a handful. "I just want to sleep. I don't want to get off the bed" he said and rolled to the dry side of the bed.

'He seems tired. What's with him nowadays' Nishan's thoughts rumbled through his head while he walked out to the room.

He met a few of their classmates on the way who asked about Saish's whereabouts. This provoked his thoughts more. 'Should I go back and drag him to the mess? No, he said he was sleepy, but I can't just leave him there to death. Ahhhhh. I am just going. I shouldn't be this concerned. He is a grown ass.' he walked to the canteen totally frustrated, without a break or bothering to look up.

He took his regular spot after reaching the canteen, Jesvi and Sunaira were already there savouring the food.

"What took you so long?" Jesvi asked.

"Where is Saish?" Sunaira questioned him before he could answer the previous one.

"He is sleeping, he said he has no appetite," they nodded in understanding.

"Guys, don't you think he is acting a bit weird lately?" Nishan asked what's on his mind.

"Is he?" Jesvi doubted. 🤔

"He is. He is being suspicious. He is zoning out a lot. Appearing out of nowhere all of a sudden"

"Care to explain clearly?"

"Listen. He woke up at five today"

"Five? It's our last holiday why would he wake up so early?"

"I have no idea. He woke up. He went to the washroom and came back after a while. From then on, he didn't utter a word. He kept staring out of the window. He didn't even use his phone or play games, which is very abnormal of him. The only time he opened it was when Mona sent her picture. He stared at it for a while and put his phone aside. Later, he just disappeared. I searched everywhere, but after 5 minutes or so, he was in the room. When I asked, he said the warden called him. That retard actually needs a good lesson, who calls a student if the washroom has a hole? Anyhow after coming back, he had been sleeping like the deceased. Isn't he weird"

Jesvi blinked twice. "Did he smile looking at Mona's picture?"

"You lady retard, why is that important now? Can't you be serious for once?"🤦

"Shut up and answer"

"Ya, he smiled. So what?"

"Then he is fine. Maybe he is missing his sister and home. He just came back after spending more than two months with her sooo"

"He is acting like a typical heartbroken love failure guy"

"Maybe he is in the terminal stage of cancer and he is hiding it from us?" Jesvi pulled a joke.

"What? Do you think he is? What should we do?"

"Goosehead, just go and get your food"

"But yaar Jesvi it makes sense. See he is acting like he is going to die"
