"No. We are either going together or you aren't going at all, no more discussion"
"Ok," Mona whispered. A tiny smile played on her lips at his concern for her. She was not sure about going there alone. To be precise she was terrified. But also didn't want to involve him in this. It was her mess to clean up. If Saish needed to be involved, he also would have gotten those images in his mind. He didn't. The planet never makes a particular move without a reason. If he didn't, it means he shouldn't be involved, it can also mean he will get hurt if involved.
Saish was still seething with mild anger as they walked out of the empty classroom.
'She looked petrified when I walked into the room. She was trembling. Pale. And yet she says she will go into a cave with a monster in it all by herself. When will she ever learn to ask for help? It's not like I am a stranger. Why doesn't she understand I can't stand seeing her anywhere near danger. Is it that hard?' Saish thoughts cluttered.
She walked side to him from behind. Slowly, she held his hand. Tightly gripping his palm. His heart skipped a beat before banging his chest walls. 💓
"Let's go together after school. I need to shove it out of my system" she smiles, hardly suppressing her nerves.
Just like that Saish's displease drained from him. That's exactly why he can never stay mad at her for more than a few minutes. She is too cute. But she didn't need to know that, so he didn't loosen up, he maintained his mask face.
Mona pouted a little getting no reply. Despite that, she didn't let go of his hand. She kept walking with her head down.
After a while, he muttered a tiny "Ok."
She raised her head and chortled a laugh when she saw his face softened. Saish raised a brow which immediately shut her. However, still, a satisfied smile curved her lips. Saish, too, broke into a smile, seeing her reaction.
"You can be a handful sometimes", he said.
"Only sometimes?" she asked indulging him more. He just shook his head not falling for her bait. 🤭

"If you don't want to, we can go back ", Saish said as they stood in front of the dark cave, which looked haunted.
"If I don't find out what's calling me and why I hell I keep seeing this shady place, I can't sleep in peace. It's like seeing a horror movie on repeat without your consent," Mona sighs. "I should sue it for mental harassment." 🙄
Saish chuckled patting her head. "You got this Purple."
She freed her hand and looked at him. Her expression unreadable. She inhaled sharply. Took big back strides towards the cave, still facing him. He was confused, which turned to worry as she stepped in and lifted her hands in the air.
"NO!" he shouts rushing closer to her. It was already late. She built a glass wall blocking the cave's opening, preventing him from entering it.
"Stay here. Please. This wall will vanish if I am seriously hurt. Till then stay here. I neither want you to come in nor want you to leave. I am being a little selfish. It is ok, right? I can be selfish sometimes, can't I? "
"Mona. Remove. This. It's not funny anymore. I will do anything to break it down. Your power is the one that will get hurt. Listen to me and let me in."
Mona just turned and walked away.
The calls of her name turn inaudible. She feels a strong strike. She didn't need to turn back, she knew Saish had attacked the glass wall she had built with his power. It wasn't strong enough to break it or hurt her, but it was still strong.
Mona closed her eyes muttering the courage. Part of her was frightened and the other part was confident she could face whatever was thrown her way. Two contradicting feelings conflicted with one another to succeed.
"Mona, dissolve this thing. The more I attack, the more power you will need to keep it intact, and the more of your bodily strength will be used up," Saish contacted her using their mind link. "I don't want to injure you. Remove this barrier. Now."
"If I get hurt this planet will need someone to look after them. I will need someone to help me heal. So...I am not removing it and you are not trying to break it again. As you said, the more I fight the more it will eat up my core strength. Unless you want to hurt me, don't attack" Mona replied before turning off the mindlink. Her choice dropped by the time she reached the last word.
It left Saish restless and agitated. With every second he was losing his mind.
"You can't be serious right now, Purple. Please. Don't be stubborn. Not now. Please," he mumbled, knowing very well she couldn't hear him. He was helpless.
"If so much as your hair gets hurt. I swear to God, I am ripping that thing's head with my two bare hands. I will make sure to take my time inflicting pain on that house-arrested monster," Saish grit his teeth. 😡
