Your heavy eyelids opened slowly as you felt your head pounding, slowly getting worse the more awake you became. As you moved your hand to your head, you looked down to see yourself half on top of someone.
Still half awake, you moved your head back slightly to see that you were hugging Loki while you both slept. Realising, you then noticed his arms were around you too. You became warm and nervous, but didn't want to move. You told yourself it was because your head was aching, as you pushed aside that his loose hug made you feel loved.
Trying to get off him, without waking him, you felt his arms slowly move down your back as they fell. You heard him make a faint sound, suddenly tightening hus arms around you. You were up against him - again. Sighing, you put your hands under your head and closed your eyes. Although it felt wrong, you hoped this wasn't the last time he'd hold you.
Loki's eyes had opened, squinting at the ceiling. He had a very faint headache, put pushed it away and his eyes rolled down to you. He wasn't aware that you were awake so laid there with you, until you were going to. He clenched his jaw every now and again, feeling slightly embarrassed that he'd got himself into this position. He hoped, with almost everything he had that no one would be stupid enough to walk into your room.
To his luck, there was a knock at your door. The two of you didn't get up, didn't speak and tried to pretend as if you were asleep. "Y/N!" You both heard Thor's voice announce loudly. "Y/N, are you awake? We can't find Loki!" Loki clenched his jaw tightly and thought every swear word towards Thor that he'd learnt on Midgard. Thor knocked again, and started whispering to someone. "Shall we just go in? We need to wake her." You both heard Rogers say. Your hearts began to race, panicking that they would see and get the wrong idea.
'We are only friends.' The two of you thought in-sync. Involuntarily, you curled up into his chest a little more; hoping they wouldn't. Loki had realised and looked down to you immediately. "Y/N?" He whispered. Your cheeks flushed a moment hotter than they already were and your heart skipped a quick beat. Slowly looking up, the two of your eyes met awkwardly - and shyly. You tried to rush for words to explain, but he just shook his head and muttered, uncomfortably: "I would appreciate it if we just got up before they come in." You nodded, got off him. You both quickly planned out that you'd pretend to be asleep while Loki would put on an illusion for everyone, besides you, that he wasn't there.
Thankfully, your timing was great as the two opened the door and walked in. "Asleep." Rogers said, pointing out the obvious. Thor walked over, quickly waking you up as Loki walked out of your room and to his. He quickly locked himself in his bathroom and waited for them to draw near - after you had guessed where he could be.
A short moment passed, and you were walking with Rogers and Thor back to Loki's room. "We have already looked in his room." "Maybe you had missed him?" "I doubt it." You shrugged and walked in first, calling out his name. You called out once more, and heard a faint groan in his bathroom. He soon opened the door swiftly, with his back straightened. "What?" He asked, seemingly irritated. You smiled, gesturing to him. "See? He is here." Thor blinked blankly, "How did I miss this room?" Rogers shrugged, "It's fine, at least we found him." "And what for?" He questioned. "We thought you had ran away, that's all. You cause a bit of panic." He hummed, looking down his nose to Rogers. He squinted, then him and Thor left, leaving you and Loki alone again.
You both looked at eachother, then you looked down; clearing your throat. "Well..." He started, raising his eyebrows to you with his hands behind his back, "Last night was definitely eventful." "What did I do?" You asked, unsure whether you actually wanted the answer. He smiled. "You don't remember?" Humming, he walked around you and over to his bedside; looking out of the window. "Loki, was it embarrassing?" Although you couldn't see his face now, his cheeks flushed remembering it all. He didn't answer and it worried you. "Loki?" You called out, moving over and holding his shoulder. He tensed at your touch and looked over to you. You realised he was slightly, but secretly, chary to share.
Did he know about what you had thought of? You felt anxious from the way he was acting, but you hadn't seen this in his eyes before. It was new, but you liked it. You were soon off track in your own thoughts, staring into his eyes. "Y/N?" You heard him call out, suddenly you jerked back your hand and swallowed hard - apologising.
He held your chin, tilting it upwards towards himself, and smiled, "Don't worry about it. I won't tell anyone." He scoffed a small laugh, leaving the room. As he left, you began to freak out. What on Midgard did you do last night to make him say that? You definitely were regretting drinking last night.
