After explaining everything that had just happened, she looked at you slightly sadly.
"You were distracted by him, weren't you?" You nodded. "Not because of the shining though." She added. You looked up, in confusion, "Excuse me?" She swallowed, preparing herself, "Don't you think that you think about Loki in a little bit more than a friendly way?" "Like..." "A... love interest?" She suggested.
Thor's nosey ears spiked up as he paused before walked around the wall and into your room. "You think that I love Loki?" You asked, refusing to admit that that's what she meant. Thor turned the corner, mouth wide. "Y/N, you love my brother?" You looked to him, eyes widened. You stuttered nervously, "No! No, I do not Thor."
"Thor, please tell me that you've noticed it too." Natasha looked to him hopefully. "What?" "The way she acts around him? The look she gives him, the way she only ever thinks of him." Your face began to heat up as she listed the few things. "I do not only think of him, and I don't look at him in any way." You tried to defend yourself. Thor began to settle and sound a little more serious, "I have seen the way you look at Loki, Y/N. I only joked because I thought only I could see it." You felt uncomfortable, slightly attacked and wanted to get out.
You and Loki had just had some sort of argument, you didn't want to think of him like this so suddenly after. "You care for him so much, a little too much though." She said. "Because he means a lot to me, I have known Loki since I was a child." "But you've known Thor that long too." You fell silent, for a moment. "Yes, but Loki and I spent much more time together. Isn't that true Thor?" Although Thor nodded, he said: "But me and you still spent so much time together too." You clenched your jaw and wanted to run, unfortunately your neck was the only thing holding you back. It wasn't broken, just in a reasonably large amount of pain.
"Look, Y/N, just think it over. Maybe it's better for you to accept it rather than deny it." Natasha put her hand on yours and Thor agreed. Although you hated everything that she had just said, you knew she wouldn't lie to you, or do something to hurt you purposefully. You sighed, your heart still aching.
A night passed, and you could move a lot better, but you still had to take Midgardian medication to help sometimes. You were slowly walking around the tower by yourself, stretching your body, while you were dwelling on what happened the day before.
You mummbled a Midgardian song, one you really felt deeply about in this moment. "You had me at hello" by A Day To Remember. "You had me at hello. I've never seen a smile that can light the room like yours. It's simply radiant, I feel more with everyday that goes by. I watch the clock to make my timing just right. Would it be okay? Would it be okay if I took your breath away?" As you sang lightly, you tried to move away from the thought of Loki - after coming back to Natasha's talk. It did make you wonder, but you didn't want to. How could you think of him in that way?
Meanwhile, Loki had locked himself in his room. Sitting on one of his chairs, the wondered deeply on how you could have laughed at him as he felt his pained heart beat - over and over again. Just after he had come to accept it, think about how much you had been there for him, he felt as if it was all a lie. Although he took it to heart, he secretly hoped it was wrong. He hoped that you hadn't just thrown him to the side just like Odin once did.
His ears spiked as he heard the faint sound of harmonious singing pass his room. Even though he couldn't make out all of the words he enjoyed it. Soon realising who was behind it, his small pleased smile faded. He looked to his hands and played with them nervously, hoping you'd stop and try to explain that he had taken the situation wrong. He was immediately disheartened after hearing the singing fade. He didn't want to loose you, not after you were the only one left for him; from what it previously seemed. The two he really cared about, were Frigga and you. He lost Frigga completely, and was afraid that he had just lost you - but in a different way.
He tried to act it off, but the pain grew over minutes and hours. It had been a whole day now and he hadn't left his room. He had isolated himself from everyone else. He was angry, sad, but nothing could make him forget the hidden pain he felt.
