"You seem to be healing pretty quickly, actually, you should be fine though," The nurse smiled to you (after giving you a quick check up) and left, after you thanked her. You stayed sitting on the edge of the bed; legs hanging over. You looked up, hearing footsteps stop at your door.
Natasha smiled and asked, "What did she say?" As she walked over, sitting by you, you nodded; "Everything is fine." As Natasha nodded, she chuckled, "It's been too long since I've seen your face." You laughed with her, soon asking how her and Banner got on. Shrugging slightly, "Fine, we were only set it since Fury wanted to check it wasn't anything from 'out of this planet'." You nodded. "Loki was fine." She said, making you hum. "I know you were avoiding asking me how he was here." You smiled, looking down, nervously, "Sorry, I just wanted to make sure." Shaking her head, she told you it was alright.
"All is well?" Thor asked, making you smile widely. "Yes. Are you?" Although he hesitated for a short moment, he nodded with a small smile; avoiding your eyes for a 10 second period. "Keep her company, Thor? I need to... just do something, I'll be back." She got up, not letting him accept or decline, and walked quickly out of the room; leaving a space for Thor to sit.
As he took the seat, he asked what had happened while you were in that situation. With a sigh, you explained; your voice unconsciously turning into a whisper. He spoke quietly about it with you, trying his best to comfort you.
While Thor was comforting you, he felt bad about thinking (at one point) it was your fault. While he was, Loki walked through the door and Thor's eyes fell to his hands on his laps after looking to him.
"Were you in the middle of something?" Loki asked, face straight. You shook your head lightly and smiled, "It's okay." As he flashed a smile to you, for a quick second, he asked what you two were talking about. "Not a lot, really," You answered; he hummed with a nod, walking in further with his hands behind his back.
Meanwhile, Thor's anger was almost at boiling point. He looked up, straight to Loki (who now was sitting on a chair opposite you) and looked at his face. Nothing? Loki didn't even remember the — somewhat of an — argument.
"We told you that you would get Y/N back, Loki." He told him; a test. He smiled back to Thor, slightly, as he secretly held one of your hands with one of his. "You and Natasha were right..." He replied. Thor noticed you both holding hands, and it only made him feel worse. He couldn't even remember the last time him and Loki both willingly held hands in a brotherly love — or was that considered too much? Either way, he missed it — assuming they had before.
All this time, he just wanted his brother to love him back but he never did; not like how he did for him — or, at least, he never showed it. He remembered one of the Midgardian sayings he had heard Jane and her friends say before they split ways, 'bros before hoes'? He wasn't so sure, but after (roughly) an hour of them trying to explain what it meant, he understood. It seemed stupidly funny at the time he was told, but now? Now Thor felt like a jealous Midgardian teen — and he had seen a good few of these while he has been on Midgard. But, would Loki even listen to him now? Thor tried to be hopeful, really hopeful, but doubt wasn't too far behind.
