"Has anyone seen my top?"

"In the kitchen."

"Alright thanks, Moira."

"Anytime."

I walked into the kitchen, only to see Gabe messing with the microwave, "There you are. How do you work this...?"

I blushed, and helped him push buttons before storming back to my room, sending a glare at a certain snickering scientist. I eventually found my favorite shirt, buried under a pile of what looked like socks. I pulled it on and went back to the kitchen, sitting on the counter and watching Gabe frantically moving from spot to spot in the kitchen. I smiled a little, "Jesus, Gabe, what're you rushing around for? Got brunch at church in a few minutes?"

He sent a glare at my joke, and shoved all the food he made into separate containers, writing something on them, then tossing them in the fridge. I looked to him, "You remember what we're doing today... right?"

"Of course, I'm just... making sure everything here is set up."

He snagged his jacket and we went through the living room. While pulling the sleeves on, he stopped and spoke to Moira, "Okay, make sure the boys get up before 11. I have their lunches in the fridge, and I ordered a pizza for tonight. Make sure they go to bed before 10, alright?"

Moira raised a brow from behind her newspaper, "They're not babies, Gabriel."

Gabe blushed, "I know. Also, don't let McCree use the oven, and the washing machine is off limits to Genji, got it?"

"Whatever."

"Okay good." He turned to me, "Are you ready?"

"Yes, now quit worrying and come on."

I grabbed his hand, and we hopped into a jeep-looking vehicle with tinted windows. Because of my boyfriends status, this type of vehicle was used by everyone back home. I whispered directions to the driver, and we were quickly on our way. We got there in a few minutes, Gabe still absolutely clueless as to where I was taking him. I noticed how his calm, hardened shell of a personality had it's walls up. He only let them fall around me and the other ones he trusts. We thanked the driver, leaving a decent tip.

Gabe had his hands buried in his pockets and was eyeing our surroundings with a careful eye, before looking to me, having found nothing. I put my hand through his arm, hugging myself to his bicep and walking. He looked around at the green shrubbery, more confused than he was when he didn't know where we were going. We passed a tree with names carved on the trunk, and little groups of flowers. We were in a hedge maze, but I knew how to get to the middle with ease, seeing as I'd done so almost a thousand times.

Gabe seemed to pick up on my sense of direction, and smiled, slowing our walk a little as he tried to enjoy the nature, "Is this where you run away to all the time?"

"You know I don't run."

He smiled a little, "That's because you don't need to."

I chuckled, elbowing him a little, "Wish I could say the same about you, Pillsbury."

He smiled at me. He knew I was joking. When you're with someone for three years, you know when they're joking, no matter the circumstances. Not to mention Gabe had the body of a greek god, and was well aware of it. We eventually got to a small pocket in the maze, where there was enough space for a nice picnic. I made sure to make note of that in my mind, wondering if that would also be a nice date.

There were bushes with roses and lilacs and other gorgeous flowers. I looked at them, since I hadn't seen them in full bloom since last year. I looked to Gabe, and his eyes were on me, almost affectionately. I sat down in the grass, patting the spot in front of me. He sat down with a huff, crossing his legs and leaning back on his palms, eyes staying on me. I ran my fingers through the grass, picking up flowers here and there. He watched me curiously, and I held one up to my eye level, looking to him afterwards, "Have you ever made a flower crown?"

"I... no, I haven't." He was going to mention that he was busy with other stuff, then remembered that I was other stuff. I tied two ends of the flowers together, and slid it down the loop, doing so again with another one to show him how. I handed him two, and he gave it a shot. He did it exactly how I did it, but for some reason the loop kept slipping. I smiled a little as he got serious with it. He took his bottom lip between his teeth, closing one eye to line it up again, and failing miserably as if he were trying to get a needle through thread.

He frowned at the flowers, "Show me how to do it again."

I did so, and he tried two more times, failing. I chuckled, "You don't have to do it my way, you can do it however you want."

I handed him the few flowers I'd picked, and he set them carefully on his knee. He was so gentle with them, I smiled as I stood up, going over to grab some smaller purple flowers. I looked to Gabriel again, "Can I put these in your hair?"

He kept his eyes on the flowers in his hand, not listening, yet trying to concentrate, "Yeah, sure."

I smiled, picking a few more and sitting behind him on my knees so I could see the top of his hair. I ran my fingers through it a few times to shift it out of place, and stuck in some flowers here and there. He didn't seem to notice, or care. Afterwards, I moved in front of him and smiled at how goofy he looked. Keeping his head down so the flowers wouldn't fall, he looked to me from under his lashes, "Are they pretty?"

I smiled, "No, but thankfully you are, so it's not too bad."

He smiled and shook his head, then ran is fingers through his hair, making small purple flowers flutter to the grass around him. He held up a wonky flower crown (moreso the size of a bracelet), "How does this look?"

I stifled a laugh, "It looks great, Gabe. We should come back here more so you can learn." He stood up, dusting off the back of his pants and helping me to my feet. I stumbled into his chest and he wrapped his arms around me, hugging me sweetly and kissing the top of my head. I smiled up at him, "You're such a softie."

"Me? Oh please-"

The ringing of his phone interrupted him. He rolled his eyes and set it on speaker. I heard Moira, "McCree and Genji set the house on fire."

Gabe sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "How?"

"McCree put tinfoil in the dishwasher, and it exploded, and Genji tried to fit in the microwave. It didn't work so they tried heating tinfoil up in the oven." She paused for a second, "Y'know, it's almost like they're idiots." The sarcasm in her voice made me smile.

"I told you not to let McCree near the oven."

"I know, it was Genji near the oven. McCree just threw his gun in the washing machine and I-" It sounded like she muffled the phone, and shouted something at the two. I heard the noise of Genji's weapon slicing through the air, and Gabe rolled his eyes, "We're on our way." He snapped his phone shut and slid it back in his pocket, looking to me, "You think we can delay our date tonight?"

I sighed, "Yeah, I guess the president will still be there tomorrow..."

"What?"

"Well, I was hoping that later tonight, when it got dark, we could go beat up the president."

"Why would we do that...?"

I shrugged, "Because it'd be a funny story to tell later, I dunno."

"Fine, but we're bringing the rest of them with us. I don't want to risk us getting in trouble."
