"Hey, tie your shoes, I don't want you falling for anyone else."
"My shoes are tied and knotted."
"Thank god I'm wearing gloves, because you're too hot to handle!"
"You're not wearing gloves."
"Your lips look lonely, would they like to meet mine?"
"Lips don't have any emotion, and therefore can't be lonely."
I grumbled something under my breath, and he smiled to himself in success. I had been trying to stump him for an hour. We had gone back and forth, me delivering a witty pick-up line, and him responding before I could finish with a cocky answer. I thought for a second, out of pick-up lines and actually having to think before saying something. Quickly, something came to mind and I grinned, "Are you a horse? Because I'd like to ride you all night long."
"I'm human."
I raised my brows, "You're on it today... Gimme a minute and I'll think of something."
He chuckled, "I'm sure you will."
After a second, I grinned, leaning closer to him to whisper so the passerby's of Freeside wouldn't hear me. I pushed my lips gently to his neck then bit my bottom lip, keeping my voice at a whisper, "I'm not wearing socks, and my underwear matches."
He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. I pulled away from him and grinned at my success, watching at he tugged the back of his beret and adjusted his sunglasses, a pink blush appearing on his cheeks and the tips of his ears reddening. I smiled in my short, single moment of victory, "Speechless, huh?" He clenched his jaw, gluing his eyes to the ground. He muttered something and I leaned closer, "What?"
He took his sunglasses off and looked me dead in the eye, "I quit smoking and now I need a new oral fixation. You able to help me out?"
My breath caught in my throat and I clasped my heart, "Critical hit!" He chuckled at me and I laughed, walking with him again, "Your hand looks heavy, let me hold it for you." He held his hand out a little and I took it, intertwining our fingers and kissing him on the cheek, pulling away only to see his lips break out in a small smile.
He cleared his throat and looked away, noticing the sunset, "This is getting too mushy for me. Wanna start a bar fight and see who gets caught first?"
